Itinerary of your cruise

It is alongside a professional and local crew that you will sail for 9 days among some of the most beautiful islands of the archipelago. You will have many opportunities to explore the seabed inhabited by brightly coloured corals and fish. On board, the cook will offer you an international cuisine, composed of Indonesian, Western and Asian dishes. A change of scenery guaranteed!

DAYS 1 & 2 : Komodo (Labuan Bajo)
Your tour guide will meet you at Komodo Airport between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. They will transfer you to the boat, where you meet the crew members and your traveling companions. Your cabin will be presented to you while the captain casts off and sets sail for your first stopover, Komodo National Park.
Once there, it's your first opportunity to use the snorkeling equipment provided and explore the seabed where you can admire corals and colorful fish. You may also have the chance to swim with manta rays and harmless reptiles…
You will land on Komodo Island and go in search of the legendary Komodo dragons. The Komodo dragon is the largest lizard species on earth. It can measure up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 100 kg. A meeting you won't forget!

DAYS 3 & 4 : Gili Banta - Sangean Island - Sambawa
Today you drop anchor in the bay of a small uninhabited island with pink sand where you will spend the morning. The place is ideal for enjoying water activities. You can explore the area by paddle or enjoy a little snorkeling session. During lunch, you will have a short sail to a volcanic island. When you disembark, you will visit a small, prosperous village and discover the way of life of its inhabitants. Here is the perfect place to find some hand-crafted souvenirs.
You will then set sail to another atypical volcanic island, whose center is a crater forming a lake filled with salt water. This phenomenon appeared after the eruption of Mount Tambora more than 200 years ago. This is the perfect time to try your hand at paddleboarding or kayaking, surrounded by the magnificent panorama of the lake. For the more adventurous, we recommend hiking along the crater.
A beach barbecue is planned for dinner. The opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal accompanied by musical entertainment while contemplating the stars. Nightfall is also an opportunity to observe thousands of bats leaving the island to go to the mainland to feed.

DAYS 5 & 6 : Sambawa - Moyo
What better way to start the day than a morning swim with whale sharks? These majestic sea giants, measuring up to 14 meters long, are completely harmless. They are attracted to fishermen and their floating platforms. This means we often have the opportunity to swim with them in this area - while their curiosity lasts!
You will dock nearby, on the beach of a small limestone island where you will spend the day. By kayak, or with snorkeling equipment, set off to discover its karst formations.
Your journey continues with a stopover at the village of Labuan Aji on the island of Moyo. After a visit to the village and the opportunity to walk around, you arrive at one of the superb picturesque waterfalls where you can bathe in the refreshing water.

DAYS 7 & 8 : Komodo National Park - Rinca
You continue your cruise heading north to Sangean Island. It is the perfect place for a snorkeling session in an area where volcanic gases escape from the bottom of the sea and rise to the surface in the form of bubbles. This unique experience will also allow you to observe the seabed and its corals, its black volcanic sand and many fish.
Back in Komodo National Park, it's time for your second snorkeling session to discover the most beautiful and preserved coral reefs in the park. If you like adventure, go for a hike that will take you to a magnificent viewpoint overlooking the other islands in the park, and admire the sunset.
You disembark on the island of Rinca where you will go in search of Komodo dragons. You will be surprised by the diversity of the fauna (wild buffalo, deer, monkeys...). To end your day in style, head to the top of the hills to admire the breathtaking landscape.

DAY 9 : Komodo (Labuan Bajo)
Early risers will appreciate one last opportunity to swim before the crew weighs anchor (around 9am). You will stop in the village of Melo and attend the 'Caci', a ritual in which two rivals face-off with a rattan shield and a whip while dancing to the rhythm of traditional music. This duel requires great physical condition, concentration and agility. After lunch, say your goodbyes to the crew, it's time to disembark.

Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service.

  • Tipping, how it works?

We hope you will or already have enjoyed the fine service of our well-trained and caring Indonesian crew. It is a time honoured tradition on sailing vessels of the world to tip the crew at the end of a voyage. This is, of course, if you have been satisfied with their services. The amount you choose to tip is up to you. On your final night onboard, you will have the opportunity to discreetly add the tipping envelops provided in your cruise bag to the collecting basket or large envelope for crew tips and tour leader tips.

    How it Works?
Tipping happens at the end of the trip, and tipping envelopes are provided in your cruise bag, one labelled “Crew” and one labelled “Tour Leader”.Suggested tipping amounts are:
    • Crew: a total of 30 - $50 USD per passenger per cruise day which is divided evenly between all crew members.
    • Tour Leaders: total of US$20 - $30 per passenger per cruise day which is divided between tour leaders.

All tops are at your discretion, and you can tip however much you like.
Tips can be paid in cash in any currency or by cash of debit card.
  • What should I take with me on the cruise?

It is important to note that during this cruise you will be walking a lot. Therefore, we advise you to bring comfortable clothing suitable for walking and hiking.

  • Clothing:
  • In Indonesia, the climate is tropical, so you should wear cotton T-shirts and shorts. The cruise takes place during the dry season, however, a rain shower is not to be excluded, remember to bring a light raincoat.
Of course, don't forget your swimsuit. It is preferable to bring several (2 or 3) to give them time to dry.
In order to respect local cultures and customs, we will ask you to be able to cover your shoulders and knees during the village visits.
You can also bring an elegant and casual outfit for cocktails and dinners on the boat.
Ladies, the boat provides a beautiful setting for a photo shoot. So you can bring one or two light dresses and a pareo for your bathing outings.

  • Shoes
  • For walks and hikes we advise you to bring comfortable sneakers or walking shoes as well as socks to avoid blisters.
Many travellers bring their walking sticks for more stability. There are telescopic walking sticks that are now easy to carry.
For those who wish to bring neoprene shoes and flip-flops for the beach, they can also do so.
Note: it is customary to walk barefoot on the boat.

  • Sun protection :
  • During your trip, you will spend a lot of time in the sun. It is therefore strongly recommended to buy a sun cream with a high enough protection factor to protect your skin and to wear light clothing (T-shirts, shorts...) and a hat or cap to avoid sunstroke.
You will be dazzled by the sun very quickly, so remember to take your sunglasses and a cord to hang them up.
Also remember to bring an after-sun lotion or cream in case of sunburn and to moisturize your skin at the end of the day.

  • Bag:
  • A backpack will be essential during your hikes to carry: a bottle of water, a camera, binoculars, a raincoat...
The ideal would be to have a small waterproof bag for the objects which fear water and humidity.
A reusable metal bottle will be given to you at the beginning of the cruise.

  • Camera :
  • You will discover beautiful islands and villages. A camera will be ideal to immortalize these moments. You can also bring a waterproof camera to film your underwater explorations.
Remember to bring an extra memory card, as it will be extremely complicated to get one during the cruise.
