Frequently asked questions
-
What documents are required for travel to Greece?
All French nationals may enter freely with a valid national identity card or passport (for stays of less than 30 days).
Please note: national identity cards issued to adults between 1 January 2004 and 31 December 2013 will remain valid for 5 years after their expiry date (indicated on the back). However, we strongly recommend that you use a passport rather than an identity card that has expired.
This information is subject to change by the authorities of the country visited. It is not uncommon for border crossing rules to change. We therefore strongly advise you to refer to the ‘travel advice’ section of the France Diplomatie website: https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/
Nationals of other countries should check with the consulate of their country of origin for information on formalities. -
Who is responsible for my air transport to Greece?
Your flight tickets can be booked by the GlobeSailor team. Simply let your advisor know when booking your cruise. -
How are my transfers between the airport and the marina organised?
Your transfers are not included in your cruise package. If you wish, your GlobeSailor advisor can help you organise them. Please do not hesitate to contact them for further information. -
Is my cruise 100% English-speaking?
Please note that this cruise is not exclusively open to English-speaking travellers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board our cruises as we attract an international clientele. This allows for many enriching exchanges and wonderful encounters!
In addition, the crews are mainly English-speaking and qualified to offer you multilingual service. -
How does a cruise with a skipper work? And a hostess?
All the skippers we offer are registered and hold the necessary professional licences. They speak fluent English. The skipper is responsible for navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to help with the manoeuvres; they will be delighted to teach you the basics of sailing. In terms of organisation, the skipper and hostess/cook sleep on the boat in cabins reserved for the crew. -
How are meals organised on board the boat?
During your cruise, you will enjoy half-board accommodation, including breakfast and one lunch or dinner per day. Water, hot drinks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available throughout the day. Please check the terms and conditions of your quote carefully. Please inform us as soon as possible if you have any food allergies or if you are following a special diet. -

A 100% deposit will be required for all bookings made less than one month before departure. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the date of embarkation. -
