Status of navigation to Virgin Islands


It is possible to navigate all year in the Virgin Islands thanks to its excellent weather conditions. There are two seasons, the dry season (Lent) from December until May when the sun is very strong and summer, from June to November, when the climate is more humid. During your cruise in the Virgin Islands it is important to keep informed of the weather reports daily to be able to react quickly.

The swell is low under the wind of the Virgin Islands archipelago. The tide is relatively low (20 to 60cm on average) in the islands of the Carribean archipelago. There are many boat renters on the island of Tortola, where you will find the majority of boat rentals in the Virgin Islands.

Nevertheless there are some sail boat rentals or catamaran rentals on the other inhabited islands of the archipelago. Monohull rental and motor boat rental are widespread, but the catamaran is the most common in the Virgin Islands.

There are many sites you can discover in the idyllic Virgin Islands archipelago. Peter Island, the beach of White Bay is truly unmissable with its fine sand and its turquoise transparent sea. The "Sage Mountain" of Anegada allows you to observe many birds in its tropical forests. The Norman island, the Bath of Virgin Corda, Long Bay Beach, as well as many islands are waitng for you to discover during your catamaran cruise in the Virgin Islands.
