Montenegro

Day 1 : Tivat (Porto Monténégro) – Sveti Marko
Boarding is scheduled for 5pm. Once on board, the crew will take you to your cabin so that you can make yourself comfortable and stow your belongings. You will then be invited to a welcome drink and meet the crew and other passengers. You'll be able to explore the boat from top to bottom so that it holds no secrets for you. For your first evening on board, the captain sets sail for the charming, verdant island of Sveti Marko, which is largely covered in olive and cypress trees. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day2 : Sveti Marko - Kotor
The captain sets sail for Kotor. During the crossing, you will stop in the Bay of Ljuta for lunch and your first swimming break. You will arrive in the sublime medieval town of Kotor in the afternoon. You will have free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, which is surrounded by an impressive wall. The most courageous will climb the 1,426 steps leading up to the ancient fortress of Saint John. From the top, the panorama of the Kotor Mouths and the Lovcen massif is breathtaking! Enjoy dinner on your own. Night on board.

Day 3 : Kotor - Bigova
In the morning, you will visit the old town of Kotor with an experienced guide, who will reveal its secrets to you. The crew will then cast off for a peaceful sail along the coast, leaving the Kotor Strait behind. Refresh yourself and enjoy the dishes prepared by your chef in the pretty bay of Dobra Luka. You will arrive in Bigova in the late afternoon. Set in a bay, this fishing village is the ideal place to explore the seabed. Dinner is at your leisure, and you can sample the local fish and shellfish specialties in one of the harbor restaurants. Overnight at anchor.

After a delicious breakfast, you'll set sail to relax on the sun deck. You will have lunch in the bay of Tjesna Luka before sailing into the bay of Mirista for a well-deserved swim. You will dock in the port of Herceg Novi in the afternoon. This 14th-century town is often compared to a ‘garden city’ because of its extensive vegetation (magnolia, cacti, agaves, etc.). Besieged on numerous occasions by different civilizations, Herceg Novi boasts a rich heritage. Discover its cultural influences (Turkish, Spanish, etc.) as you wander through its narrow streets and walk up to its famous Forte Mare fortress. Dinner on your own.

On your last day at sea, you'll sail into the heart of Boka Bay and enjoy incredible views of the mountains and villages of Montenegro. Keep your camera handy to capture the moment! You'll have lunch in the crystal-clear waters of Morinj Bay and enjoy the town of Perast. We suggest you climb to the top of Saint Nicholas's church to admire the view over the town and the coast. By visiting its museum, you can learn more about the history of Perast and the Kotorian Bays. At the end of the day, you will head for Tivat.

    Montenegro vs weather

    Automatically translated.

A real flawless experience for the boat, as well as its crew. This magnificent schooner is spacious enough to have a very pleasant stay without feeling cramped. If you don't bring too much luggage, as indicated during the boarding process, then the space in the cabin is quite sufficient. The cuisine is excellent in both quality and quantity... combined with the smiles, kindness, and professionalism of everyone... This is so rare these days that it is important to note. So 5/5 for the boat and the crew. As for the destination, that's another story... Montenegro mixes both the charm of the old and the remnants of a former Eastern Bloc country... The architecture is sometimes very surprising: a contrast between ultra-luxurious marinas and ruins from the 60s/70s... in short, a beautiful place that is still searching for its tourist objectives. The coastline is quite beautiful, but what enhances it is the stunning contrast between the sea and the mountains. My stay was greatly spoiled by catastrophic weather... but that's another matter 😉

    Wonderful cruise

Beautiful route and a very responsive team, especially I want to highlight Antonio! Perast and Kotor are magical cities, it was great to stroll there and enjoy the atmosphere of history :) Budva seemed unnecessary, it's far to go, and the city itself did not impress me )

Belle destination

    Montenegro's coast, simply enchanting

    Automatically translated.

The support on site was very good. We really enjoyed the variety of land visits and swimming stops. The crew was very nice. Everything was well organized. The gulet was very comfortable, and the cabins with showers were pleasant. Compared to Croatia, there are not as many tourists in Montenegro yet. The price/performance ratio is impressive.

    Cruise in montenegro

    Automatically translated.

From the welcome at Tivat airport to the return, the entire cruise was a true week of happiness. The team with Dejan and Alexandra was very welcoming, the crew of the Sadri Usta 1 was very professional, smiling, and attentive. The good cuisine from the chef. The composition of the group. The atmosphere was very friendly and warm. The balance and organization of the itinerary, the quality of the guides (especially in Kotor, less so in Stari Bar). The interest of the stops. Punctuality. Thank you!!!

    The montenegro on a schooner

    Automatically translated.

Beautiful cruise along the Montenegrin coast and in the Bay of Kotor on a well-equipped schooner with a crew attentive to the passengers' needs. The included excursions complement the sailing program well.
One small downside: we found ourselves with only 2 French couples, the rest of the passengers being English speakers, and communication was not always easy.....
But we will keep an excellent memory of it!
