Excellent adventure in thailand

We took a chance booking a 7-day cabin cruise on a catamaran in Thailand without knowing much about the boat, crew or locale. Vincent at Globe Sailor navigated the details for us and was very responsive to every inquiry. The price was competitive and his assurances that it would meet our expectations solidified the booking.
We were not disappointed! In fact, the 7 days on Dream Escondido, a Lagoon 620 with 10 passengers and 3 crew, may be our best vacation to date!
The tour operator was Dream Yachts. They were professional and seemed focused on both our satisfaction and safety. Captain Sem was an experienced seaman and he and his small crew worked seamlessly to provide the best possible experience. We had several days at full sail and the Captain not only knew the waters and conditions, he flexed the itinerary to ensure we were seeing each mooring/anchor site at the best possible time considering tides, weather, and crowds. The result was outstanding snorkeling spots, great overnight moorings, and prime stops at low tourist intervals.
Our fellow passengers were a delight and the shared meal and deck time easy and comfortable. Our chef/concierge, Sai, created three meals each day that were professionally prepared and delicious, capitalizing on local, fresh ingredients and recipes. We all said it was like having your Thai grandmother (much younger) cook for you each day!
Our only caution is to understand before choosing this cruise that "boat life" in this part of Thailand in March is hot! While the cabins were spacious and daytime ocean breezes provided relief, the nights were at times uncomfortable for sleeping (you could cool down by sleeping "up top" deckside)! In the end, it was well worth it to suffer some hot nights leading up to spectacular scenery and sites during the day. It was a unique and preferred way to see the islands and beaches of this beautiful country. We wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

Our overall experience was very good; however, there were a few minor aspects that could be improved, which prevented us from giving an excellent review.
When we initially booked, there were no available photos, but we were kindly provided with a video of a similar boat. We were informed that there was an option to pay extra for a premium room (two available on board), while the remaining rooms were the same. Unfortunately, this was not entirely accurate, as we were allocated the smallest wet room despite paying a similar rate to other guests. Had we been aware of this possibility, we would have opted for the premium room. While our room was comfortable, it had a very small wet room with an integrated toilet and shower, whereas the other cabins had separate facilities.
We also encountered an issue on the day of the BBQ excursion. As we did not purchase the excursion, we were left without a lunch option. The evening before, the captain mentioned that we could get food but did not clearly state that this would come at an additional cost. This led to an awkward situation at lunchtime, where we had to either pay for a meal or go without. It appears to have been a communication issue, as we were later told that a meal could have been arranged upon request. We believe it would be helpful to clearly inform guests who opt out of excursions about their dining options in advance.
Additionally, the food onboard was primarily French cuisine and heavily meat-based, including dishes such as lamb, steak, and blood sausage. While we appreciate the culinary style, we feel the menu could have been more varied, incorporating international flavours and options better suited to the location and climate.
Overall, while we enjoyed the trip and found the boat to be lovely, we feel that the experience is marketed and priced as a premium offering, yet certain aspects did not fully align with that standard. The staff were very pleasant, highly skilled in their roles, and we got along well with them; however, the level of hospitality service could be improved to truly reflect a premium experience. As it stands, we believe a similar experience could have been had on a more budget-friendly sailing option.
That being said, we had a very good trip overall and would consider returning in the future.

Every aspect of the trip was fantastic! The crew, the food was amazing! I miss our chef, milk so much. The best food I have eaten in my life. I celebrated my birthday on the boat and they made me feel like we have been friends forever. Thank you.

She’s not a new boat anymore but she sails very well. Could befit from one or two solar panels. But it good value. And it’s only a 5 hour sail north to the Grenadines.

We are so happy and pleased with our trip trough the Grenadines!
The schedule had perfect balance regarding time spent on each place/activity, the destinations was beautiful and the visits to each place felt authentic since it wasn't crowded with other tourists. The boat was big and fresh. The crew was very friendly and created a good vibe on board. The only feedback of improvement is:
1. Toilet had slight disfunction (which we highlighted to crew members, who had a look but no solution provided) in our cabin and some nights was very hot.
2. Instructions and information from crew members could be better. We would like to have a some kind of briefing of what each destination is known for or what we can expect during the days. A bit unclear timings for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
3. Only the skipper spoke basic English.
4. Tour (optional package) in St Lucia was not good. The guide was not engaged (didn't talk enough or to whole group) and it felt very touristic (follow the stream of people). The guide didnt provide us with information, and was difficult to engage in questions. This was the complete opposite to the guided tour in st Vincent, where we had an amazing tour and guide (Mr Liquid) who was excellent in his communication, open to questions, provided a good vibe for the tour. All the best to Mr Liquid!
5. Breakfast could be improved, was missing basic ham or cheese and maybe some salad/fruit.

An overall very positive experience. The boat was roomy, daytours gave us time to explore beaches and villages, good amount of time for snorkelling/swimming. Food was good, variety and well presented.
An experienced kapten who knew alot of locals and how to find best anchoring each night. Always offering to take dinghy to land if wanted.

The boat was not in Marina de Lonvilliers but in Marina de l<Anse Marcel. Not much an issue since we found out way before departure. We had some issues with the AC but we did not complain so we will take the blame on it.
