The boat was perfect. We had a 42 cat with 3 cabins just for the two of us. Hadled easily, everything worked and was brand new. Sailing around Placencia is tricky as sutveys are incomplete and there are no markers on the reef like in French Polynesia. The base gave detailed instructions, a book guide, a map and inserted waypoints to maneuver in the maze of thr barrier reef. The base gives a captain to take the boat out and docks the boat on your return. We stayed anchored all nights even on the last night. A convenient stop is the Lark Caye, 2 hrs away from the basr and great fishing. As well as protection from most winds.
We enjoyed two weeks aboard Strike. It’s a very comfortable boat with a lot of storage and living space. It’s also very fast - picks up speed easily. Alternative Sailing were very helpful at the base.
Koh Chang and nearby islands are an amazing cruising ground. The charter company did an excellent job. I would highly recommend the area and the company.
the crew was great , the service they provided was top and everything mad a great experience. The snorkling was a highlight but the food and overall service was also amazing.
Thank you to team in Le Marin. They are very friendly, accomodating and professional.
This boat was perfect for me and my wife. Robust and plenty of space for 2. The boat was in good condition. Everything was well maintained and worked well.
Hand-over was detailed and very good. Knew and explained everything needed.
The office provided boat data with registration and insurance, guide-book, maps and also barbeque, snorkling gear. And all other relevant information that we asked for. Only downside was that the keel and propeller had lots of mussels.
The charter company was great. Very helpful and attentive to our needs. We rented a smaller older boat since there were only two of us. It performed well but has the normal glitches of a charter boat that is mostly motored when you try to seriously sail it.
The weather was great and we were able to sail every day. One leg was a 28 NM power reach from Koh Roi to Ao Muong followed. We followed it up with a 3 hour dash from Ao Muong to Maya Bay in Phi Phi Lak. Winds for much better than forecast.
We were able to stay overnight at Koh Hong in Phang Na Bay with a day stop at James Bond Island. Overnight at Secret Beach on the back side of Koh Po Da with a lunch stop ad Koh Hong Krabi. Phuket has to many great spots to visit to get them all into one week. Planning to go back soon and see more.
Great flexibility for the logistics
Boat in excellent conditions
Very nice personal
Thanks
Maglica (the sail boat name), was a balance of grace, performance, and comfort. It was nimble enough to dance with the light winds yet sturdy enough to handle the spirited breeze with confidence.
Below deck, above deck, offered just the right amount of warmth practicality - coziness and clever storage, with a layout that felt inviting.
The gentle rocking of the boat, the wide-open sky, and the sense of total freedom made an incredible relaxing sail.
The staff at Dream Yacht had a warm and hearty welcome. The smile of their face brighten our day when we arrived after the long day of travel.
Captain David Salle is a calm confident sailor, he brought every moment-no matter the conditions, a safe, welcoming and exciting journey.
I highly recommend sailing for anyone who loves the outdoors and a touch of adventure.
