Exumas February 2023
Great sailing trip to the Exumas. Very friendly and experienced captain. The chef on the boat created amazing meals with fresh ingredients. Cabins are just the right size to feel comfortable (you don‘t spend much time there ;-) ). The Exumas were spectacular with Iguanas, amazing beaches, swimming pigs, snorkeling at nice reefs. We could even snorkel with reef sharks and black tips. All in all awonderful week on the boat!

Amazing cruise at the Exumas
We had an amazing experience during our cruise. Our captain Silvio was very experienced, relaxed, open for suggestions, and requested our assistance when needed. We visited beautiful places and stayed the nights at beautiful places as well. Seen a lot of sharks, ray's, and other fish. Catched our own diner (Mahi Mahi) and snack (crab). The catamaran was spacious and had everything to relax and enjoy. The only thing was if the chef liked her job, cause she was not that friendly. Quality of the meals was excellent, portions could be bigger.
Frequently asked questions
-
Is everyone on board English-speaking?
Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service. -
What does the skipper do? And the hostess?
All the skippers we offer are registered and hold the necessary professional certificates. They speak fluent English. If you have any special requirements regarding the skipper, please let us know. The skipper is responsible for navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to participate with him in the manoeuvres, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Concerning the organisation, the skipper sleeps on the boat, either in a separate cabin or in the saloon. The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing dishes. On request, a hostess (or cook) can prepare your meals, clean the saloon, clean your cabins and more generally ensure that the boat is in good order. all our cabin cruises include the services, at a minimum, of a skipper and a hostess (unless otherwise specified in the contract) -
Are the menus adapted to special dietary requirements?
We strive to offer the best possible services on our cruises and providing special dietary options are part of this. Please inform your charter advisor of any dietary restrictions or requirements well in advance of the cruise, so that the crew may be informed and make the necessary adaptations to the menus provided.
Please note that the preparation of adapted menus adds a certain level of complexity for our hostesses/cooks, who will prepare meals for 12 guests on board. Sourcing good quality substitute products also incurs additional costs. It is therefore necessary for us to charge a supplement, in order to guarantee that all our guests on board receive the same level of quality service. -
How are meals organized on the boat?
Most of our cabin cruises include full board and the services of a hostess - cook. Alcoholic beverages are sometimes extra. Check the terms and conditions of your quotation carefully. On request, your advisor can send you the menus proposed on board. They are often prepared with fresh and local products. Please inform us as soon as possible if you are allergic to any food or if you are on a special diet. -
How is my transfer from the airport to the boat organized?
The transfer can be arranged by your GlobeSailor advisor and the base manager by taxi or minibus. Payment for this service is generally to be made to GlobeSailor at the time of payment of the balance or directly on site in cash. Don't forget to forward your arrival times to your advisor. -
What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?
To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once your down payment has been recieved (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding. -
