Itinerary of your cruise

The Exuma Cays are the islands in the Bahamas that are often forgotten. From the swimming pigs at Big Major Beach to the vibrant marine life at Warderick Wells Cay Marine Park, your cruise will never cease to amaze you.

Map
Bahamas

DAY 1 : Palm Cay, Nassau
Embark at 6 pm at the port of Palm Cay. You'll get to know your fellow passengers and crew over dinner.

Optional: If you arrive before the boarding time, you can buy a pass for the beach, swimming pool and private bar (this pass can also be used on the last day after returning to base).

Day 2 : Palm Cay, Nassau - Highborn Cay
For the first stop on your cruise, you'll drop anchor on the beach at Highborne Cay. You'll spend the day in idyllic surroundings, with turquoise waters and a soft sandy beach. This is the perfect time to try your hand at water sports, such as paddle boarding and kayaking, or take a stroll along the beach and take in the scenery.

DAY 3 : Highborn Cay - Shroud Cay
Today, you'll spend the day at Shroud Cay. On the programme: a tour of the surrounding mangrove swamps by dinghy or kayak, followed by a swim in the lagoon known as the "washing machine". This name was given to the lagoon because of the strong tidal currents that form a small ocean whirlpool. You can also take the opportunity to sunbathe on its gorgeous beach.

DAY 4 : Shroud Cay - Staniel Cay
A cruise in the Exumas would not be complete without a visit to Big Major Beach to see the famous swimming pigs. After this, you will have a snorkelling session in the Thunderball Cave. End your day with a scenic walk around Staniel Cay village.

DAY 5 : Staniel Cay - Compass Cay – Cambridge Cay
This morning, you'll discover Rachel's Bubble Bath, a natural pool with translucent water. You'll then head off to Compass Cay, where you can swim with nurse sharks, which feed mainly on crustaceans and small fish. You'll end the evening at Cambridge Cay, a peaceful anchorage perfect for spending the night.

DAY 6 : Cambridge Cay – Warderick Wells Cay
Set sail for O'Briens Cay (next to Johnny Depp's former island) in the morning for an unforgettable snorkelling session in this "natural aquarium". You'll then sail to Warderick Wells Cay, where more than 30 sandy beaches await you. Don't miss the exceptional view from the top of Boo Boo Hill before re-boarding for Norman's Cay in the afternoon. Here you'll have the chance to swim in the shallow waters, which are home to a plane wreck that once belonged to a drug cartel.

DAY 7 : Norman's Cay - Allan’s Cay
To round off your cruise in style, you'll set sail early to visit Allan's Cay in the company of the island's iguanas. You'll return to Palm Cay Nassau at the end of the day while enjoying your last dinner on board.

Optional: Transfer to Atlantis Paradise Island at 8 pm to visit its casino, tourist complex and aquarium. Return around 10 or 11 pm

DAY 8 : Palm Cay, Nassau
Your cruise ends after breakfast (around 9 am).

Please note: The above programme is given as an indication only and may be modified according to weather and/or technical conditions.

    Super sailing cruise to exumas

Nice cosailors and a great crew made the cruise to the Exumas Islands unforgettable. Skipper Alex and Chef Tia were well organized and fun. Clear briefings every day and excellent food, also for vegetarians. Stops were varied, beaches, snorkeling, we saw lots of fish, sea turtles, sharks and manta rays and small hikes. The team was flexible with my late incoming and outgoing flights. Definitely recommended.

    Good cruise !

The trip was great. The ship was in good working order. The support by GlobeSailor before the trip was excellent. The company that performed the cruise was ‚dream yachts‘. The captain was very good, while the cook didn’t always consider dietary preferences of the guests the food was still good. At 2 lunches mussels/cunch were included in the pasta even though most of the guest did state that they preferred not to eat this type of seafood during booking. The beverage token system was a fail, as I was the only guest who was aware it existed. On board nobody enforced the token usage and everyone had access to the alcoholic beverages. At checkout I was asked to pay for additional drinks I didn’t book before the cruise nor did I consume them (while others were not asked to pay for additionally consumed drinks). Which was a bit of a let down when you come back after a nice trip. After my protest to this unfair treatment I wasn’t required to pay those additional costs as the crew didn’t document who drank what.

Overall it was still the best way to experience an island nation like the Bahamas. All the organised activities were very nice and savety was never an issue.

    Dream palma nassau

    Everything was amazing!!!!!

We were really surprised because we couldn’t expect such a wonderful vacation and organization.
It was our first time in Bahamas and on a private cruise, we were in 2 (me and my husband) and we didn't know the rest of the passengers. We were so lucky and the group, composed by other 3 couples, was great! Actually, everything was perfect!

The boat was great, the captain, chef and service were perfect, the itinerary was amazing… really nothing to add!
Trust Globesailor, is a team composed by professional guys and Sophie really take care of us!

    Exumas february 2023

Great sailing trip to the Exumas. Very friendly and experienced captain. The chef on the boat created amazing meals with fresh ingredients. Cabins are just the right size to feel comfortable (you don‘t spend much time there ;-) ). The Exumas were spectacular with Iguanas, amazing beaches, swimming pigs, snorkeling at nice reefs. We could even snorkel with reef sharks and black tips. All in all awonderful week on the boat!

    Amazing cruise at the exumas

We had an amazing experience during our cruise. Our captain Silvio was very experienced, relaxed, open for suggestions, and requested our assistance when needed. We visited beautiful places and stayed the nights at beautiful places as well. Seen a lot of sharks, ray's, and other fish. Catched our own diner (Mahi Mahi) and snack (crab). The catamaran was spacious and had everything to relax and enjoy. The only thing was if the chef liked her job, cause she was not that friendly. Quality of the meals was excellent, portions could be bigger.

Great trip and stunning views, but not very professional staff.

We had a great experience with the trip around the Bahamas Islands. The scenery was wonderful and the water was just outstanding. Very lovely and definitely one of the most beautiful places that we have ever visited. The view is stunning. The boat was also nice, the rooms were comfortable and the food served was fine.

However, some aspects of the service need to be improved. One guest was bitten by a pig on the beach because he did not know not to feed it out of the water. And nobody told us anything.

So overall - great trip, location, and boat - but the staff onboard ...

Best trip on water i have ever taken

I have taken multiple sails before but nothing amounts to how amazing the exumas on the Bali 5.4. Was. The boat was so spacious and you never felt on top of one another. The rooms had enough storage and the galley was gorgeous. Our captain (Alex) and the chef (Tia) were the best and added to the entire experience. The most beautiful waters I have ever seen and the most relaxing vacation ever.

Very nice reception, competent crew and captain (Alex). Exceptionally good food. (Thank you, Sunshine) very tasty drinks/cocktails. Cabins with bathrooms, very good equipment and condition. Overall, we were eight with a crew of 10 people. There was enough space on board for that. I highly recommend it!!

    Bahamas by catamaran

    Automatically translated.

Everything was very comfortable. Good outdoor spaces and adequate equipment for fun. The skipper and chef were excellent; very available, friendly, and very professional. The only downside: the issue with the toilet drainage (but I believe this is common to all boats of this type).

    Great exuma april 2024

    Automatically translated.

Boat in excellent condition, the superior cabin is comfortable, the skipper Alex is very skilled and knows the islands perfectly. The only downside to mention is the cook/hostess Tia for her complete lack of professionalism towards the Italian guests.

    Unforgettable

    Automatically translated.

It was one of the most beautiful trips of my life. The booking process with the booking advisor Laura was simple, clear, and fast. The welcome at the base was very warm, and from there the journey exceeded expectations. The Lagoon 620 catamaran was spectacular in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Every day we visited a different island, and depending on the weather conditions, Captain Alex was impeccable, a true seaman. Waking up to breakfast prepared by chef Dudly was magical. It was the best way to explore the Exumas, and I will definitely not hesitate to book another cruise with GlobeSailor in the future!

Magnificent cruise with a crew that took care of us throughout the trip. Captain Eric brought us to more beautiful beaches than the last, and Tia cooked us endless local specialties! We highly recommend it.

    Wonderful week on the catamaran

    Automatically translated.

We had a great week on board the catamaran. The welcome at the marina was warm, and we couldn't have wished for a better captain. He had the catamaran under control at all times and took us to amazing hidden dream bays. Other highlights included fishing and snorkeling with turtles and sharks. Unforgettable! The hostess spoiled us with three super delicious meals on board during the week. It's incredible what she conjured up in the small galley! The only point of criticism: the condition of the catamaran. It needed repairs in some places. Additionally, we would have appreciated the opportunity to express any special drink requests or orders. Other travelers had received a list in advance, but we did not. Aside from these minor issues, we would highly recommend the cruise! :-)

    A truly refreshing stay!

Unforgettable vacation, quality catamaran. Perfect service with Tia on board as the chef who surprised us day after day. Our captain Alex did his best according to the weather to take us to clearly paradisiacal places. This stay was great!

    Exuma, escape to paradise

    Automatically translated.

First of all, we feel we must strongly recommend the vacation destination by catamaran, Exuma Cays, truly a paradisiacal and unspoiled place, an archipelago with sea in a thousand shades of blue... The welcome at the Palm Cay base was a bit chaotic, in the sense that there was only one person at the desk while there were dozens of people waiting for news about the crews that would be formed, however, we quickly boarded the boat. The area next to the departure port, inside Palm Cay, is really pleasant, with a beach with crystal clear water, a pool, and a bar/restaurant accessible. The assigned catamaran was new, very clean and tidy, equipped with fins/masks for everyone, as well as canoes and SUPs that allowed us to spend great moments. We had all our meals on board, except for one dinner that we had the chance to enjoy at Staniel Cay. There were numerous stops that we appreciated, Thunderball Grotto, Compass Cay where, in addition to petting the nurse sharks, we had the privilege of enjoying the huge deserted beach and then the magnificent little beach surrounded by palm trees and populated by magnificent iguanas! The only downside... we expected to eat fresh fish for the entire cruise, instead we mostly had frozen fish, yet other tourists we encountered confirmed the fish abundance of those seas and their ease in fishing. Finally, I want to clarify that, due to a communication defect, it had not been previously indicated (as I had explicitly requested) that I do not consume animal meat, except for fish.

Cabin charter for a week in the Bahamas: everything was perfect. The charter company is very well organized, and the welcome and check-in were quick and easy. The boat was perfect, new, and clean. Great company and a perfect crew. The skipper and chef were wonderful, they made us fully enjoy the magic of the Bahamas.
    No negative feedback.

    Magnificent cruise in the bahamas

    Automatically translated.

Superb week in the Exumas archipelago. The Lagoon 620 boat truly lived up to all its promises with unmatched comfort on board for a catamaran of this range.
The crew and the other passengers were all lovely.
The little extra was being able to swim with sharks, something I didn't think I would do there.
Just thank you very much for this week!

    Perfect & magical

    Automatically translated.

We greatly enjoyed our trip. It was truly a beautiful cruise. The boat is superb. We were a bit worried about being on top of each other, but in the end, there was enough space for everyone. Our captain Alex is great, very nice and attentive. He didn't hesitate to answer our questions about the Bahamas and its surroundings as well as about the boat. Nadia, our steward/cook, is a lovely person. She cooked divinely well for us.

One remark, however, even though it doesn't change the fact that this cruise is sublime, we found it unfortunate to leave the marina only on Sunday around noon and return on Friday evening. This results in losing 2 days at sea. We could have left on Saturday and returned on Saturday, visiting more islands.

We really loved this cruise. And when we do another one, because we will do another one, we will choose GlobeSailor. We also thank Marion and Emmanuelle, our advisors on this trip, always available and attentive.

    The bahamas are a dream!

    Automatically translated.

The truth is that it has been an unforgettable cruise, the best trip of my life. We have visited beautiful places that the captain of the boat knew, we swam with sharks, stingrays, turtles, pigs, and a thousand colorful fish... Totally crystal clear waters and white, fine sandy beaches. We were very lucky with both the captain and the cook. The first, Patrick, had a lot of experience as a captain, shark guide, and diving guide; he knew how to do absolutely everything and gave you a lot of confidence. The second, Vicky, is a nutritionist who made us delicious and healthy meals. Moreover, the boat is truly amazing, modern, comfortable, quite spacious for a boat, and has everything necessary for fun. I do recommend bringing a full-face snorkel mask, as the ones they have are a bit poor and fog up constantly. I don't give it 5 stars for two reasons: the first is that the reception staff who attended us on the first and last day at the marina were very rude, and the second is that out of the 7 nights you spend on board the boat, 2 of them the boat is docked at the marina, which means 2 completely wasted days out of 7, which seems quite a lot to me. From my point of view, they should try to fix this point, as everyone on the boat complained about it. Other than that, it was a 10 out of 10 cruise!!!

  • What does the skipper do? And the hostess?

All the skippers we offer are registered and hold the necessary professional certificates. They speak fluent English. If you have any special requirements regarding the skipper, please let us know. The skipper is responsible for navigation and your safety on board. Concerning the organisation, the skipper sleeps on the boat, either in a separate cabin or in the saloon. The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing dishes. On request, a hostess (or cook) can prepare your meals, clean the saloon, clean your cabins and more generally ensure that the boat is in good order. all our cabin cruises include the services, at a minimum, of a skipper and a hostess (unless otherwise specified in the contract)
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.

Please inform your charter advisor of any dietary restrictions or requirements well in advance of the cruise, so that the crew may be informed and make the necessary adaptations to the menus provided.

Sourcing good quality substitute products also incurs additional costs. It is therefore necessary for us to charge a supplement, in order to guarantee that all our guests on board receive the same level of quality service.
