It is a typical itinerary that can be adapted according to your wishes. Create your tailor-made itinerary to experience a unique cruise.

Day 1: Nosy Be - Nosy Komba
Embark on board your trimaran in the late afternoon. Your crew welcomes you and establishes with you an itinerary perfectly adapted to your desires. Once on board, your captain sets sail for Nosy Komba, also known as Lemur Island or Nosy Ambariovato, which means the island surrounded by rocks. Covered in a dense and thick tropical forest, Nosy Komba is a small jewel of nature that abounds in heavenly beaches and emerald colored water. Dinner and overnight at an anchorage.

Day 2: Nosy Komba - Nosy Tsarabanjina - Nosy Mitsio
In the morning, your captain heads for Nosy Tsarabanjina, located in the Mitsio archipelago. Laze on a white sandy beach and discover the Constance Tsarabanjina, a luxury hotel. This intimate hidden heaven offers a relaxing atmosphere. In the afternoon, head for Nosy Mitsio, the largest island in the archipelago. The place is a real paradise for lovers of wide-open spaces and diving.

Day 3: Nosy Mitsio - Nosy Ankarea
While sailing, you will see Nosy Ankarea in the distance, thanks to the massive shape of this large black rock. While the north face remains wild and steep, the south coast is bordered by a superb white sandy beach and crystal clear water. At anchorage, explore the seabed by snorkeling. For the bravest, reach the top of the island through an amazing green valley where endemic Aloe Vera grows.

Day 4: Nosy Ankarea - Nosy Fanihy - Nosy Sakatia
You will move away from Nosy Ankarea in the direction of Nosy Sakatia. Stop in Nosy Fanihy, an uninhabited island, also known as the bat island. This island will offer you the opportunity to swim in the open ocean, to rest on the beach covered with a carpet of shells and corals: a moment of memorable relaxation. Your navigation resumes towards Nosy Sakatia. The orchid island is home to an exceptional flora: coffee trees, pepper trees, vanilla, mango trees.

Day 5: Nosy Sakatia - Nosy Iranja - Nosy Antsoha - Bahamamahy Bay
For this fifth day, several stops are scheduled. Nosy Iranja consists of two islands connected by a 1km white sandbank totally submerged at high tide. You have the opportunity to visit the few craft shops and observe turtle nests. Located 28km southwest of Nosy Be Island, Nosy Antsoha Island is a private island that houses a lemur reserve. You then resume your navigation towards Bahamamahy Bay to spend the night at anchor.

Day 6: Bahamamahy Bay - Nosy Kalakajoro - Russian Bay
This morning, head for Nosy Kalakajoro to make a stop before the bay of the Russians. Renowned for its shipbuilding yards, it is possible to admire the work of craftsmen who carve canoes and dhows with a simple adze. The bravest can climb to the top of the island following a ridge path: the ride is really worth it! Sailing towards the Bay of the Russians. Very famous for its lagoons, it plunges you into a setting worthy of postcards: green mountains, white sandy beaches, and angelic calm water.

Day 7 : Russian Bay - Nosy Tanikely - Nosy Be
Discover Nosy Tanikely, a natural aquarium with a very diversified coral reef. It is an ideal place to enjoy your last day: a paradise on earth for all diving and nature lovers. Return at the end of the day to Nosy Be to finish the

    Juste parfait!

Frequently asked questions

  • How are meals on board the boat organized?

It is customary for private cruises with crew to pay in advance an amount of approximately 20%-25% of the rental amount (Advance Provisioning Allowance) in order to cover daily expenses (meals, drinks, fuel, port charges, taxes,...). A preference form will be sent to you to inform the crew of your specific wishes and needs. The captain and his crew will have made sure that your boat is ready to leave when you arrive onboard. Please note that the APA is an estimate of the operating cost and that part of this amount can be paid to you at the end of the charter, with a list of invoices and expenses incurred. However, some privatized cruises include this boarding box and full board, so check with your GlobeSailor advisor.
  • What is the currency used in Madagascar?

Madagascar's currency unit is the ariary (Ar), a word meaning "five francs". In 2005, this currency replaced the Malagasy franc (FMG). In some provinces, prices are sometimes given in Malagasy francs, which can be confusing (1 Ar = 5 Fmg).

It is also illegal to leave Malagasy territory with 400 000Ar (135€) or more onboard. Today, 1 € is equivalent to about 3400 Ar.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding, either to the base or to GlobeSailor. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor or the base prior to departure.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 30%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat? What about provisioning?

After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus will meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat.
Provisioning and meals will be taken care of by your crew. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian etc…) make sure to let the base manager know.
  • Which vaccines are recommended to go to Madagascar?

For a trip to Madagascar, we advise you to check if you are up to date with your vaccines such as universal vaccines (DTCP, hepatitis B) and hepatitis A.
Other vaccines are to be carried out as:
    - typhoid fever;
    - yellow fever; only mandatory if you have planned a trip to continental black Africa before or after your cruise
    - rabies; for stays in remote areas or long stays.
