Bahamas

DAY 1 - Marsh Harbour
Set sail on your Catamaran at 6pm. Dinner on board and a night at the Marsh Harbour marina.

DAY 2 - Marsh Harbour – Great Guana Cay
Your skipper sets sail for Great Guana Cay. It's time to drop anchor in front of a charming islet in Fishers Bay. Great Guana Cay is the perfect place for long walks on the white sandy beach: snorkeling, diving, lounging and sunbathing, there is something for everyone.

DAY 3 - Great Guana Cay – Man of War
After lunch, depart for Man of War (voted one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic!) The soft, white, powdery sand is unbelievable. Here there are tennis, golfing, shopping opportunities, and much more...

DAY 4 - Man of War - Hope Town
Depart in the morning for Hope Town which is a small island, somewhat sleepy, but prosperous and very well maintained. Take your snorkelling gear, and go explore the magical marine life. Its famous red and white striped lighthouse dominates the town. One of the last three kerosene-powered lighthouses in the world, it is still in use and useful to Bahamian sailors. From its top, the view of your sailing area is extraordinary.

DAY 5 - Hope Town - Sandy Cay National Park - Little Harbour
Thanks to the shallow draft of your catamaran, the crew will land you directly on Tahiti Beach. After lunch, sail to Little Bay, one of the Bahamas' most picturesque bays. Its famous lighthouse with red and white stripes dominates the city. It is one of the last three in the world to run on kerosene, and it is still in service and useful to Bahamian sailors. From its summit, the panoramic views of your navigation area is extraordinary. Hope Town is a charming town with many shops, restaurants, museums and colonial houses steeped in history.

DAY 6 - Little Harbour - Tahiti Beach (Sud d’Abaco)
After an early morning wake-up call, your skipper will set sail for South Abaco where we will stop over on "our" deserted island. You will spend the day on the beach, snorkeling in the coral reef and even scuba diving (extra charge) for divers, exploring the enchanting marine life. As dusk approaches, enjoy a cocktail while watching the glowing sun go down.

DAY 7 - Tahiti Beach (South Abaco) – Matt Lowes Cay – Marsh Harbour
After a delicious breakfast, it will be time to head back to Marsh Harbor with a stopover at Matt Lowes Cay. Enjoy a last swim in the Abaco Sea before heading to the marina for dinner on board, and celebrate with the locals to the sound of Bahamian music, the end of an unforgettanble week-long cruise.

DAY 8 - Marsh Harbour
Disembark after breakfast around 9h.

Frequently asked questions

  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 30%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding, either to the base or to GlobeSailor.
  • How are meals organised on the boat?

Most of our cabin cruises include full board and the services of a hostess - cook. Alcoholic drinks are sometimes provided at an extra cost. Check the terms and conditions of your quote. Your adviser will be able to send you the menus proposed on board. They are often prepared with fresh and local products. We would be grateful if you would inform us as soon as possible if you have any specific dietary requirements.
  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat?

After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus can meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat at an extra cost.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

All the skippers we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular requests regarding a skipper, just let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
