South of France

DAY 1 : Marseille - Friuli Islands
Meet with your crew in the Old Port of Marseille at 6pm. Step aboard, take a seat in your cabin and have a look around the boat. Your skipper will present the safety instructions while you enjoy a welcome cocktail. The boat will depart and head towards the islands of Friuli. The archipelago has 2 islands: Pomègues (the largest and wildest) and Ratonneau (more urbanised, but still with magnificent creeks). The archipelago also boasts 2 islets: If (with a fortress that inspired Alexandre Dumas' writing of the "Count of Monte-Cristo") and Tiboulen (easily recognisable by its lighthouse). The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 2 : Frioul Islands - Cassis
Enjoy your breakfast surrounded by postcard-perfect scenery, before sailing to the stunning massif of the creeks. Located between Marseille and Cassis, these geological formations (coves or bays surrounded by impressive limestone rocks) are amazing and hold up the reputation of this beautiful region. Anchor at one of the most magnificent creeks and jump into the water to cool off or snorkel the seabed. Later in the day, you will reach Cassis. The old fishing village is charming, with colourful houses and narrow streets. The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 3 : Cassis - Bandol - Porquerolles
The cruise continues in an easterly direction. On the way to La Ciotat, you will pass by the Cap de l'Aigle, a rock rising 155 metres high. For an enjoyable lunch, the skipper offers anchoring in front of the beaches of Bandol. The area is sheltered and allows passengers to take advantage of a moment of relaxation. You will then head towards the Golden Islands, making a stop at Porquerolles. On arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the island by walking its many trails or by cycling (rental is at your own expense). Why not end the day with a swim in the crystal-clear water of the beach of Argent? The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 4 : Porquerolles - Saint-Tropez - Cap Taillat
On this day, you will get the opportunity to discover Saint-Tropez, or Saint-Trop' as some like to call it. This mythical village became famous in 1956 after the shooting of Roger Vadim’s film "Et Dieu créa à la femme" with Brigitte Bardot. Since then, it has attracted international jet-setters every year. It is not uncommon to see a few celebrities as you are strolling around the place. We advise you to climb up to the citadel to admire a magnificent view of Saint-Tropez and its coastline. Step back on board and leave for a short navigation to Cap Taillat, a magical place with preserved nature... The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 5 : Cap Taillat - Cap Nègre - Cap Bénat
Enjoy a relaxing day away from mass tourism. Enjoy a break from sailing in Anse Cavalière, a small peaceful bay sheltered on one side by Cap Nègre. Its long sandy beach is impossible to resist, to lay your towel out and bask in the sun. The crew will then hoist the sails to reach the rocky tip of Cap Bénat. The preserved flora and fauna invite relaxation in harmony with nature, in the middle of Aleppo pines and cork oaks. The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 6 : Cap Bénat - Port-Cros - Giens Peninsula
In the morning, sail to the Golden Islands and stop in front of Port-Cros. This little corner of paradise is a car and bicycle free zone. The only way to get around the island is by foot, by hiking trails. The waters have exceptional biodiversity that can be seen in a snorkelling session. In the afternoon, the skipper will set sail for the Giens peninsula, a geological curiosity connected to the mainland by 2 tombolos (sand strips). In the middle, you will find the Salin Pesquiers and its rare and precious biodiversity. There are many bird species on the island, including flamingos! The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 7 : Giens Peninsula - Sanary-sur-Mer - Les Embiez
The crew takes you to the charming little Provencal town of Sanary-sur-Mer. Upon arrival at the port, you will be greeted with a friendly and warm atmosphere. Stroll through the old town and discover traditional markets, Saint-Nazaire church, the Montée des Oratoires and its view of Sanary and the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Pierre that overlooks the bay. The last stop of your journey will be in front of the islands of Embiez, also known as the Paul Ricard Islands. The creator of Pastis acquired these islands in the 1950s and invested in the preservation of its exceptional environment. The night will be spent at anchor.

DAY 8 : Les Embiez - Marseille
You will arrive back at the Old Port of Marseille. Enjoy breakfast before disembarking at around 9am.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I book my flights and accommodation in addition to my cruise?

    YES!
Our travel agency offers guests who embark on a cruise to book their flights or accommodation. Our tailor-made offers adapt to your needs and budget.

We have created two offers that are 100% customisable :
    - Serenity Service : Book your flights

Our advisors, specialists of the destination, will send you their best proposals for your holiday.
  • Is everyone on board English speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English speaking travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer a multilingual service.
  • How are transfers between the airport and the boat organised?

Transfers are not included in your package. However, they can be arranged by your GlobeSailor advisor and the base manager, by taxi or minibus. Payment for this service is usually made to GlobeSailor at the time of the balance payment or directly on site in cash. Don't forget to send your arrival times to your advisor!
  • How is a cruise with a skipper and hostess organised?

All the skippers we offer are registered and have the necessary professional certificates. They speak English fluently. The skipper is responsible for the navigation and your safety on board. Do not hesitate to participate alongside him in the manoeuvres, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Regarding the organisation, the skipper and the hostess/cook sleep on the boat (either in the saloon or in cabins).
All our cabin cruises include the services, at a minimum, of a skipper and a hostess (unless otherwise stated in the contract).
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
  • What payments do I have to make to confirm my reservation?

To confirm your reservation, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will ask for an option for you to collect your deposit.
