Itinerary of your cruise

With its butterfly shape, Guadeloupe is divided into two zones with very distinct landscapes: Basse-Terre in the west and Grande-Terre in the east. Of volcanic nature, Basse-Terre is covered by a tropical forest and dominated by the famous Soufrière volcano (1400 meters high). On the other hand, Grande-Terre is much less tropical, but there is no shortage of water sports activities! The beaches are protected by a coral reef where the waters are particularly calm.

You will find below some ideas for visits and activities to do during your stay :

  • Nautical activities in Saint-François:
  • Saint-François is part of the France Station Nautique label and is thus committed to offering you quality nautical activities. With its 35 kilometres of coastline and 150 hectares of turquoise blue lagoon, this city is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful water sports spots in the Caribbean.
You will be able to learn or improve your skills in: windsurfing, kite surfing, light sailing, surfing and scuba diving.

  • Golf International de Saint-François :
  • Golf enthusiasts will appreciate this harmonious 18-hole course created in 1978.
On site, you can rent your equipment (series of clubs, caddies, tees, carts...). Courses can also be given by qualified teachers (on reservation).

  • Baptism of the air:
  • What would you say to admire Guadeloupe from the sky?
You will have the choice to glide over this beautiful destination and its lagoon in a twin-engine aircraft, a gyrocopter (aircraft) or an ultralight.

  • Hiking:
  • The city of Saint-François offers you several means of transport to discover Guadeloupe. Day or half-day excursions are available by quad or buggy, 4x4, horse or cart.
The bravest can even try to explore the lagoon by pedal boat.

  • Cultural visits:
  • Rum lovers can take advantage of their trip to visit a distillery. We recommend, for example, the Damoiseau distillery (Grande-Terre) and the Bologna distillery (Basse-Terre). You can also visit the Musée du Rhum, located in Bellevue.
The Maison de la Noix de Coco is a museum opened by a protector of local craftsmanship. You will discover all the possible transformations of coconut.
Pointe-à-Pitre's Central Market, located on the former Central Square, is one of the oldest in the city. You will appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the smell of fresh fruit and spices.

For EU and non EU residents, check with the consulate of their country of origin for information on formalities.

Your flight tickets can be booked by the GlobeSailor team. All you have to do is specify it to your advisor when booking your stay.
    • How are your transfers between the airport and Saint-François organised?

    • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
