The boat was good but with two issues;
- There is next to no storage in the forward cabin. Just a wardrobe that also included the lifejackets.
- More importantly the outboard was 4 Hp. This was a very heavy engine to remove off the rail onto the dinghy. Despite having a fit gym instructor on board, we were unable to use the engine more than once. Most charter boats have 2.5 Hp engines which I think is quite enough.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the briefing about the yacht was clear and thorough. During the entire cruise, the team was always available, responding quickly to every question or issue. When we returned, the yacht checkout process was fast and efficient.

Our boat was over 20 years old with a refit four years ago. It was in excellent condition. Obviously very well maintained. Our only minor complaint was that the fridge unit didn't work without either shore power or engine running. We discovered this by smelling spoiled food a few days into the cruise. The Sunsicily team was very efficient. Boat briefing was thorough. However this is the first charter I've done where there was no chart briefing. We took a leisurely two weeks to visit the seven Aeolian islands, spending a couple days on most of them. This turned out to be a wonderful approach as we were able to hike and explore many more places than would have been possible if we rushed through a 7 day itinerary. And these islands are spectacular! We had extraordinary surprises everywhere we went. One of our most beautiful cruises ever!

We have been sailing around the globe in chartered monohull sailboats for many years. This year we sailed from Porto Rosa marina in Sicily to theAeolian islands. We chartered a 46 ft 2023 Beneteau sail boat for a week. Although my wife and I are certified sailors, we always have a skipper with us for safety and also to guide us through local waters, marinas, must see spots, and restaurant recommendations.

The marina staff were very friendly, and helpful. They arranged for free transportation to a nearby store to buy our provisions. The boat was in an excellent condition with a furling main sail, electric winches, and electric anchor that you control from the cockpit. Dishes and kitchenware were provided in clean sealed plastic bags. Sheets and towels were all clean and also provided in sealed plastic bags. The skipper (Luigi) was a sailing school instructor who was very knowledgeable of the area and very pleasant to be with. He also enjoyed sailing as a hobby, not as a job. He also paid a lot of attention to safety.. at the end of the sailing week, he dropped us off on one of the island to stay in a nice resort for a week, and sailed the boat by himself to the base to deliver it to the marina in Porto Rosa..

Overall, this was one of our best sailing experiences, and we will definitely come back.

The welcome team was very friendly and did a great job going through everything with us. Nothing broke which is always a bonus on a charter. I would stick to 10 people max, we had 11 and there just isn’t enough space for someone and their stuff in the salon comfortably. There is no ‘day head’ which is strange about this layout. Sailing to the volcanos was a trip of a lifetime. We had a beautiful sail in 30 kts of wind and 2 meter waves on the beam the last day and the sailors onboard were all very impress with the comfort underway. The boat came with everything we needed to make for an enjoyable trip. Thank you to the hosts.
