DAY 1: Grenada (Saint George's)
Your meeting point is Port Louis, in the capital city of Saint George's, on the island of Grenada, where the crew will be ready to welcome you. After settling into your cabin, you will attend a safety briefing and itinerary briefing with the skipper. In the evening, admire the sunset from the boat before enjoying a typical Caribbean dinner in one of the restaurants in the harbour. Overnight at the dock.

DAY 2 to 13: Cruise
Below is a non-exhaustive list of stops you could make during your cruise:

Carriacou, the largest of Grenada's Grenadines islands, charms visitors with its authenticity and peaceful atmosphere. Nicknamed "the sailing island", it offers calm waters ideal for sailing, pristine beaches and picturesque villages, all enhanced by delicious cuisine and the warm welcome of the locals.

Mayreau, the smallest inhabited island in the Grenadines, is a haven of peace untouched by mass tourism. Accessible only by boat, it enchants visitors with its pristine beaches, including the famous Salt Whistle Bay. Its authentic atmosphere adds to the island’s charm, while its turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The island’s single village, perched above, offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands.

Bequia captivates visitors with its genuine charm and welcoming atmosphere. Its idyllic beaches, such as Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay, its turquoise waters perfect for swimming and diving, and lush green hills create a truly unique setting. The island also maintains a strong maritime heritage, with traditional boat building and artisanal whaling still part of its identity.

The Tobago Cays archipelago consists of five uninhabited islands protected by a coral reef. This Caribbean gem, accessible only by sea, offers white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and exceptional marine life: turtles, tropical fish and majestic rays. A dream location for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts!

DAY 14: Grenada (St. George's)
You will disembark at Port Louis on the island of Grenada in the morning, after a final breakfast on board.

Below is a typical daily schedule:
Morning:
The day begins with a refreshing swim, the perfect opportunity to get out your flippers, mask and snorkel for a snorkelling session in crystal clear waters. Meanwhile, the hostess prepares a delicious breakfast to be enjoyed while gazing out at the horizon.
Then, it's off to a new island! During the voyage, you can lend a hand to the skipper or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on board: read in the shade of the aft cockpit, take a nap on the sundeck or flybridge... Simply let yourself be carried away by the gentle waves as you admire the magnificent landscape!

Afternoon:
For lunch, the hostess will treat you to a fresh and delicious meal served on board. The afternoon is dedicated to exploration: stroll through a colourful village, enjoy a walk along the beaches or relax in the shade of the coconut trees. Depending on your mood, indulge in a spot of local shopping, visit a historic monument or savour the Caribbean way of life with a rum cocktail or fresh fruit juice. Each stopover is tailored to your pace.

Evening:
When evening comes, enjoy local cuisine at a seaside restaurant. To end the day on a high note, extend the evening with a drink at a bar before returning to your boat for a peaceful night under the stars.

  • What documents are required for a trip to Granada?

A valid passport is required to enter Grenada. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure from Grenada. A national identity card is not sufficient. No visa is required for stays of less than 90 days.

For stays longer than 90 days, you should contact the Immigration Office attached to the Royal Grenada Police Force.

This information is subject to change by the authorities of the country visited. It is not uncommon for border crossing rules to change. We therefore strongly advise you to refer to the UK Government “Foreign Travel Advice” website: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/grenada
Nationals of other countries should check with the consulate of their country of origin for information on formalities.
  • What vaccinations are recommended for travelling to the Grenadines?

No vaccinations are required for travel to the Grenadines. However, we advise you to take precautions against various issues, such as:

    The Zika virus
Due to the presence of the Zika virus, which is transmitted by mosquito bites, pregnant women or women planning to become pregnant are advised to postpone their trip or to take strict precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Symptoms include fever, headache, joint pain and skin rash.

    Dengue fever
The main health concern is the resurgence of dengue fever cases throughout the Caribbean region. This mosquito-borne disease initially presents symptoms similar to those of a severe flu (fever exceeding 40°C/104°F), before deteriorating into nausea, vomiting, dehydration and even skin rashes. There is a potentially fatal haemorrhagic form of the disease, but fortunately it is rare.

    Chikungunya
This viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes appeared in the Caribbean in 2014. The symptoms are similar to those of influenza, with the addition of joint pain, which can be severe. As with dengue fever and Zika, there is no vaccine or effective treatment. It is therefore essential to protect yourself as much as possible from mosquitoes. Fortunately, severe cases remain extremely rare. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

    Protect yourself against mosquito bites
There is no vaccine or treatment for these diseases; only the symptoms can be treated. It is therefore essential to protect yourself as much as possible from bites.
Wear long, covering clothing, especially in forests, where you should wear trousers and long sleeves, particularly in the morning and evening. Avoid dark fabrics. Do not wear perfume. As for repellents, there are now organic repellents available that are less harmful than those containing DEET. At night, use a mosquito net whenever possible: it is one of the most effective forms of protection.

Before travelling, we strongly recommend consulting the UK Government Foreign Travel Advice and NHS Fit for Travel websites for the most up-to-date health information:
    https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
    https://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk
This information is subject to change, and travellers should always check official guidance prior to departure
  • How are my transfers between the airport and the boat organised?

Your transfers are included in your cruise package.
  • Is everyone on board English-speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English speaking travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service.
  • Does the boat only sail under sail?

The catamarans and sailing boats offered for cruises move slowly in light winds, especially in summer if the wind is too weak or if the speed is not optimal. Engine assistance is sometimes necessary to keep to the itinerary's stopovers and to ensure that there is a place in the harbour or at anchor for the night. We cannot guarantee a minimum amount of time spent sailing. However, your skipper will do their utmost to sail and involve those who wish to participate in the manoeuvres.
  • What payments do I need to make to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor, who will place an option for you while waiting to receive your deposit. The booking will only be considered final once your deposit has been received (by bank transfer, PayPal or credit card), amounting to 30-50% of the total booking cost. A 100% deposit will be required for any booking made less than one month before departure. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the embarkation date.
  • What happens in the event of cancellation?

In the event of a cancellation, you must notify your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Regardless of the reason, the following cancellation fees will apply: up to 90 days before departure: 30% /// 89 to 60 days: 50% /// 59 to 30 days: 75% /// 29 days to departure: 100% of the total cost of your booking.
We advise our customers to take out cancellation insurance with Ouest Assurance: http://www.ouest-assurances.fr
