Day 1 : Marseille
Your instructor will meet you at the Corbières port at 2pm (free parking available). Once on board, you will get to know your crew members and draw up a list of supplies. After shopping, you will share a convivial dinner and discuss the programme for your next sailing trips.

Day 2 : Marseille Calanques
It's time to cast off and hoist the mainsail to start this first day at sea. You will sail in the harbour of Marseille before sailing along the magnificent Calanques National Park. This will be the perfect time to make your first anchorage and have lunch in this dream setting. Your navigation continues to the calanque of Port-Miou (the only one in the commune of Cassis). Here you can practise anchoring manoeuvres before enjoying the landscape.

Day 3 : Sanary-sur-Mer
Heading east! You will be in charge of the sails and optimise their setting according to your speed. This crossing will allow you to work on tack changes (tacking and gybing) and cartography (map reading, positioning techniques, etc.). You will pass by the Bec de l'Aigle (a rocky cape reminiscent of an eagle's head), a well-known area for sailors. You will make a stop in Sanary-sur-Mer, whose port is nestled in the town, for the night.

Day 4 : Port-Cros
After a weather briefing, you set sail for the islands of Hyères, also known as the Golden Islands. Here again, it will be easy to find your bearings on a map thanks to the landmarks. You will discover the Cap Sicié and its easily recognisable forest. Your instructor will suggest that you have lunch in the charming Langoustier Bay, located to the west of the island of Porquerolles. You will continue your tour of the Golden Islands and stop at Port-Cros at the end of the day.

Day 5 : Porquerolles
This morning, you will head west to Cape Benat. This crossing will be an opportunity to do some safety exercises such as: man overboard, use of the VHF in case of emergency, etc. After lunch, you will set sail again towards Porquerolles (the largest of the Hyères islands). You will appreciate its picturesque little village where you can have dinner if you wish. Depending on the weather, your trainer may also suggest that you anchor along the coast.

Days 6 & 7 : Port du Frioul
It is time to start your return journey to Marseille. These sailings will allow you to be more confident at the helm and to be autonomous. You will also be able to take advantage of the forward cockpit for a well-deserved nap. You will stop in the port of Frioul or at anchor (depending on the weather conditions) before heading to Port Corbières for your last night.

Day 8 : Marseille
You will disembark at the Corbieres port around 9h.

Please Note:

  • Restocking is planned during the cruise, at the time of stopovers.
  • Do not hesitate to tell your trainer regarding any subject which you would like to cover.
