Itinerary

Map

With the Melthem blowing strongly in summer in the Cyclades, GlobeSailor takes you to the heart of the pearls of the Mediterranean, the Saronic Gulf. Historical sites, attractive fishing ports with a thousand colors, islands with lush and splendid vegetation, idyllic swimming spots... a real dream cruise! The navigations are short and often during the morning to allow you to make the most of sea bathing, stopovers, and local flavours. A cruise made to please and bring happiness to everyone on board!

Day 1: Anthens – Aegina Island (20 miles)
2pm: Boarding.
The meeting point is Pontoon 9 (place 915-916) at Alimos Marina.
Your crew will welcome you on board with a drink followed by a briefing by the skipper. You will raise anchor to set sail towards Aegina Island, one of the biggest and most historic maritime trading centers in ancient Greece. The island is also known for its pistachio nuts, fishermen ports, and villages which are surrounded by beautiful beaches as well as the famous Afea temple. Evening dinner will be onboard the boat.

Day 2: Égine to Ermioni (36 miles)
The following day, you will leave Aegina and set sail for the south towards Ermioni. This will be the longest cruise of the week. You will stop off at the Kelevini islands for lunch and for a swim. In the evening, take a stroll around Ermioni, a little fishing village in the east of Peloponnese which is known for its traditions, culture, beaches and lively cafes.

Day 3: Ermioni to Spetses (11 miles)
After breakfast, you will sail several miles towards Zogeria beach, in the north-west of Spetses. You will disembark at Spetses port after lunch, which will be served on board. Even from the port, the incredible charm of the island is clear, with its taverns and walks along the cobbled alleys and side streets that are sheltered from the port.

Day 4: Spetses to Dokos (12 miles)
Breakfast in Spetses. You will then head east towards Dokos. Dokos is a wild and uninhabited island mostly protected from tourism. A favorite place for sailors, its idyllic anchorages, such as Skintos Bay, will make your stopover an enchanting experience! Get out your snorkeling gear because the ocean floor is remarkable! Dokos being uninhabited, this evening your dinner will be aboard your lovely boat.

Day 5: Dokos to Hydra (7 miles)
Early departure to the famous island of Hydra, considered one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. No cars, everything is carried out on donkeys! In order to better understand its history and place in ancient Greece, we have organized a visit with a local guide (about 1h30). The rest of your day will be free. You can enjoy a snack on the boat. Do not hesitate to visit the surroundings to take a lookup and admire the splendid view of the Peloponnese peninsula.

Day 6: Hydra to Poros (13 miles)
Swim in the morning and then have lunch on board. You will reach Poros by afternoon. This mountainous island on the Saronic Gulf is very pleasant with green hills, vibrant taverns, and a fish market. We would recommend that you climb the Clock Tower to enjoy fantastic views of the Gulf and its sailboats.

Day 7: Poros to Athens (33 miles)
On the last day of your cruise, you will stay around Poros for lunch and a final swim. You will reach Athens by late-afternoon. We would recommend that you visit the old town during the evening to visit the Acropolis and its archaeological gems.

Day 8: Marina Alimos to Athens
9am: Disembark after breakfast.
