Magical week in the azores on a bavaria 37

Keegan Sep 2025

My wife and I chartered this boat for a week in May-June and loved our time onboard. It's in great shape and was very comfortable for sleeping, cooking, and hanging out.

We picked it up in Angra do Heroismo and sailed around the central group islands, stopping in the towns of Velas and Sao Roque. Definitely recommend exploring the Azores by sailboat as you get a unique vantage point that most people miss.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Keegan – we really value your feedback! It was a pleasure to introduce you to the unique beauty of the Azores from the water, and we’re delighted you found the boat so comfortable for your specialtrip. We hope to welcome you both back on board soon for another adventure!
All the best,

This was one of my best sailing experience - saw about 50 common dolphins, pilot whales and Russo Dolphins! Amazing place to sale with beautiful small marina towns.

Well maintained boat

Dimitar Jun 2019

The boat is in good condition, Although Angro do Heroismo is not a popular marina for charters, we've had a very pleasent time there. It's one day (12-14h) trip to Velas or Horta, where you can stay at the marinas, and take a ferry to Madalena (Pico). There is no outside table on the boat and the anchor is manual, but we didn't need both of them.
The charter company staff were polite and helpful.
