The boat is in good condition, Although Angro do Heroismo is not a popular marina for charters, we've had a very pleasent time there. It's one day (12-14h) trip to Velas or Horta, where you can stay at the marinas, and take a ferry to Madalena (Pico). There is no outside table on the boat and the anchor is manual, but we didn't need both of them.
The charter company staff were polite and helpful.
This was one of my best sailing experience - saw about 50 common dolphins, pilot whales and Russo Dolphins! Amazing place to sale with beautiful small marina towns.
