Sardinia

DAY 1: Olbia – Cala Spalmatore (Tavolara) (approximately 1.5 hours sailing)
Meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Olbia marina for boarding. You will meet the crew and stow your luggage in your cabin. Then it will be time to set sail for Cala Spalmatore. You will drop anchor in this beautiful bay, ideal for a first swim. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
If Cala Spalmatore is too crowded, the skipper will suggest spending the night in the sheltered bay of La Saline.

DAY 2 : Cala Spalmatore (Tavolara) - La Cinta - Marinella (approximately 4 hours sailing)
Why not start the day with a dip in the Tyrrhenian Sea or a visit to the island of Tavolara? You will then take a short boat trip to the famous “pools” of Molara. Next, you will head to La Cinta beach, a magnificent stretch of golden sand bordered by turquoise water. After lunch, head north to anchor in the peaceful Gulf of Marinella. You'll love the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty of this bay. A quick trip by tender will take you to Porto Rotondo, a popular neighborhood among celebrities, renowned for its elegant ambiance and exclusive atmosphere. Night on board.

DAY 3 : Marinella - Costa Smeralda (approximately 4.5 hours sailing)
This morning, your skipper will hoist the sails to sail along the Smeralda coast and reach the Maddalena archipelago. You will make your first stop at Cala Coticcio, on the island of Caprera, nicknamed “Tahiti” for its emerald waters and dazzling white sand. You will continue on to discover quiet little bays such as Cala Napoletana, Passo della Moneta, Spiaggia del Polpo, and Cala Garibaldi. These are all idyllic spots for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. You are scheduled to arrive at the small port of Mangiavolpe, located south of the island of La Maddalena, in the evening. Overnight on board.

DAY 4 :La Maddalena - The islands of La Maddalena (about 2.5 hours by boat)
After breakfast, take the time to stroll through the lively center of La Maddalena, with its cobbled streets, local shops, and typical Mediterranean atmosphere. Today you will set off to explore the Seven Sisters archipelago, named after the seven main islands that make up the La Maddalena archipelago. You will start with the crystal-clear waters of Spargi Island, then stop at Cala Corsara or Cala dell'Amore for lunch in a wild and unspoiled setting. The afternoon will continue with a visit to the island of Budelli and its famous Pink Beach, followed by a sail to the turquoise waters of Porto della Madonna. At the end of the day, you will drop anchor in one of the coves of Santa Maria, Razzoli, or Spargi. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

DAY 5 : The islands of La Maddalena - Bonifacio (approximately 2.5 hours by boat)
You cast off and set sail for Corsica. You stop for lunch at Cap de Pertusato and discover the “rudder of Corsica” just off the coast. This is a huge rock shaped by the army in 1880 for the purpose of monitoring the Strait of Bonifacio. In the afternoon, you dock at the foot of the impressive white limestone citadel that dominates the town of Bonifacio. You will have free time to visit its must-see sites: the King of Aragon's staircase with its 187 steps, the 15th-century Bastion de l'Étendard, its incredible wall, its city center with narrow streets, etc. Night on board.

DAY 6 : Bonifacio - Golfo Pevero / Southeast Corsica - Porto-Vecchio (approximately 5 hours sailing)
Leaving Bonifacio, you will sail towards the Lavezzi, Cavallo, or Piana islands, true natural gems with crystal-clear waters and unspoiled tranquility. After lunch, your skipper will adapt the itinerary according to weather conditions. If the wind permits, you will head south towards the Golfo del Pevero, passing by Capo d'Orso and its famous rock sculpted by the wind. In the evening, you will drop anchor in one of the iconic seaside resorts of the Costa Smeralda, such as Cannigione or Porto Cervo, renowned for their lively marinas and idyllic beaches. If the mistral wind is too strong, you will head back up to Corsica for a stopover in Santa Manza, then continue exploring the southeast of the island with an anchorage in the bays of Rondinara or Portonovo, between golden sand and wild nature. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Porto-Vecchio, a charming port city with picturesque streets and a Mediterranean atmosphere.

DAY 7 : Golfo Pevero / Porto Vecchio - Olbia (approximately 4 to 5 hours sailing)
You begin your return journey to Sardinia with a stop at one of the iconic coves of the Costa Smeralda. Depending on conditions, you will stop at Liscia di Vacca, a peaceful bay with crystal-clear waters; Romazzino beach, elegant and lined with white sand; or Prince's Beach, beloved by Prince Aga Khan, founder of the region. After lunch, the crossing will resume with further stops planned at charming sandy beaches (Cala di Volpe, Liscia Ruja, Petra Bianca, etc.). This will also be an opportunity to explore the seabed one last time before reaching Olbia. Overnight on board.

DAY 8 : Olbia
You disembark in Olbia's marina after breakfast, around 9 a.m.

    Perfecto 👍🏼

We really enjoyed our trip! We booked a cabin cruise. The Captain, Luigi and the Hostess, Francesca, were excellent. We had an International group with People from Germany, Canada and Chile. It clicked from the start, and we had a great time! Hopefully we can come back another time!

    Sardegna 7days

Globe Sailor was very helpful in organizing our trip. Our advisor answered all inquiries very quickly and was extremely thorough. I would definitely recommend an extra day on either end of an excursion to visit the town of Olbia.
All the scheduled stops were very beautiful and because mid September there weren’t too many crowds. I would have preferred to do more sailing than motoring to destinations but of courses that was weather dependent. Meals on board were great. I would suggest that the itinerary should have at least one night in a port that dinner is not included on the boat so you are able to sample the local cuisine. Our experience with globe sailor was very positive.

    Costa smeralda in catamarano

Tutto sommato bravi bellissima vacanza grazie

Frequently asked questions

  • Is everyone on board English-speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service.
  • Is there a minimum age required to embark on this cruise?

For comfort and safety reasons, the minimum age required to embark on this cruise is 6 years old. We also recommend that children know how to swim or are familiar with water. If your children are younger, our team is at your disposal to help you find a more suitable cruise.
  • Who takes care of my air transport to Sardinia?

Your plane tickets can be booked by the GlobeSailor team. All you need to do is specify this to your adviser when booking your cruise.
  • How are my transfers between the airport and the marina organized?

Your transfers are not included in your cruise package. If you wish, your GlobeSailor adviser can help you organize them. Do not hesitate to ask him for more information.
  • How does a crewed cruise (with skipper and hostess) work?

All the skippers we offer are declared and have the necessary professional certificates. They speak English fluently. The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Do not hesitate to take part in manoeuvres with him, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Regarding the organization, the skipper and the hostess/cook sleep on the boat (either in the saloon or in cabins).
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
  • Are the menus adapted to special dietary requirements?

We strive to offer the best possible services on our cruises and providing special dietary options are part of this. Please inform your charter advisor of any dietary restrictions or requirements well in advance of the cruise, so that the crew may be informed and make the necessary adaptations to the menus provided.
Please note that the preparation of adapted menus adds a certain level of complexity for our hostesses/cooks, who will prepare meals for 12 guests on board. Sourcing good quality substitute products also incurs additional costs. It is therefore necessary for us to charge a supplement, in order to guarantee that all our guests on board receive the same level of quality service.
  • Can I bring alcohol on board?

No passengers are allowed to bring bottles of alcohol on board.
  • What does on-board cash box include?

The on-board cash box includes the following elements:
Payment of taxes in national parks
Tourist taxes and landing in the islands
Anchorage and mooring fees at certain ports of call
The costs of any additional supplies of fresh water, fuel, gas, fresh produce, etc.
  • What do I do to confirm my reservation?

To confirm your reservation, you must inform your GlobeSailor adviser who will make an option for you while collecting your deposit. The reservation will only be considered final once your deposit has been received (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card), of 30 to 50% of the amount of the reservation. A 100% deposit will be required for any reservation within one month of departure. The balance will be due no later than 45 days before the boarding date.
  • What happens in case of cancellation?

In the event of cancellation, you must notify your GlobeSailor adviser as soon as possible. Whatever the cause, the following cancellation fees will be due: up to 90 days before departure: 30% /// from 89 to 60 days: 50% /// from 59 to 30 days: 75% /// 29 days until departure: 100% of the amount of your reservation.
