After chartering a single hull yacht in 2024 we thought we'd upgrade to a catamaran (Fountaine Pajot Elba 45) this year and we weren't disappointed. What an amazing experience from start to finish. We had a 7 night charter sailing from Dubrovnik, check in was simple and after loading up on groceries (there a store at the marina) we met our skipper, Mijo, and set sail. Mijo was an incredible guide who knew just about everything from the best mooring spots to the best restaurants. He introduced us to people who welcomed us like family and by the end of the week it felt like Mijo was part of our family! Honestly it would be hard to go wrong with this type of charter, Croatia is beautiful and everywhere you look is something spectacular. We'll be saving our money to go again in 2027.

The staff in Paros (Piso Livadi), and the yacht (Mare Mia) were excellent! Check-in was very efficient, and when we spotted that the water hose would not reach the spigot, they returned with a solution to help us. Check-out was also very easy, and the staff were extremely friendly. We enjoyed our time on Mare Mia; she is a berthy boat that handles quite well. We were sad to hear that she would be taken out of charter service the following week, as we had hoped to have her for two weeks in a row. For those coming to Piso Livadi, there are several very nice restaurants at the marina entrance. You can also bring a car down the marina wall and park near your boat to unload/load.

This was our 3rd Bali charter and 2nd through Global Sailor.

A seamless experience with valuable assistance from Alec along the way when dealing with the operator.

The boat was great as expected; however, the freezer did not work (was replaced totally on 2nd day), and the BBQ had a faulty regulator, which the skipper tried valiantly to fix but could not - did not worry us as we never needed to use it.

Finding the yacht was a bit of a challenge!

We have chartered, this type of boat before. A Bavaria 51 Cruiser. They sail quite well. And because the boat is quite large you can travel a lot of miles faster than a small boat. We particularly liked the folding down bathing platform at the stern. The gulley works quite well. And the separate shower cubicle is very good. We had 8 sailors onboard and we felt you needed a lot of them when mooring.
