Balearic Islands

DAY 1 - Palma
Before boarding your catamaran, take the time to explore the old town of Palma. Stroll through its cobblestone streets and visit one of the most famous Gothic churches in Europe: Palma Cathedral, known as "La Seu". 6:00 pm, it's time to get ready for your cruise. Hop aboard and after the safety briefing, the crew will set sail for a brief trip to Cala Portals Vells, a beautiful cove with crystal clear waters. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 2 - Cala Portals Vells - Cala Pi - Colonia Sant Jordi
After breakfast, departure for Cala Pi. Its charming beach and its turquoise waters are perfect for a swim and snorkel. Lunch on board at anchor. If the wind or weather conditions are not great, the crew will take you to the port of Sa Rapita which has a sheltered marina. After lunch your skipper will sail the catamaran to Colonia Sant Jordi. Spend the day relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing on the beach. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 3 - Colonia Sant Jordi-Cala Figuera - Porto Petro
After breakfast, it's time to a cruise along the picturesque coastline to Cala Figuera. Nicknamed locally "Little Venice", Cala Figuera is one of the most authentic and secluded anchorages on the southeastern coast of Majorca. The fishing port has remained intact, with its whitewashed houses and boat sheds lined along the shore. After lunch on board, we will drive to Porto Petro, a former fishing port that has become a nice seaside resort in the well-sheltered bay. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 4 - Porto Petro - Cala Santanyi
In the morning, departure for Cala Santanyi. This beautiful cove bathed in crystal clear water and bordered with white sand is perfect for a morning swim. It is surrounded by cliffs and fragrant pine forest. Dominating the bay from the coast is the guard tower "Torre Nova de la Roca Fesa", which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes. After lunch on board, you can enjoy swimming, snorkeling and kayaking to the beautiful cave nearby. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 5 - Cala Santanyi - Cabrera National Park- Es Caragol (about 3 hours sailing)
In the morning, departure for Cabrera National Park. The Cabrera archipelago is a marine and land reserve located 10 km off the southeast coast of Mallorca. The Cabrera reserve is known for its fauna and flora, both onshore and underwater. Grab your fins, mask and snorkel and discover this pristine marine world. You can walk to the castle and enjoy the view over the bay. At the end of the afternoon, you will go to the beach of Es Caragol and admire the sunset. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 6 - Es Caragol - Es Trenc Beach, Sa Rapita
After breakfast, you will sail to Es Trenc beach. This sumptuous beach is spread over 3 km along a landscape of dunes. The area is protected and therefore free of buildings or tourist developments. The white sands and turquoise seamake it a favourite spot for nature lovers, photographers and snorkelers. Some "chiringuitos" (bars and stalls) offer tapas, snacks, meals and drinks and play Latino music from 18:00. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 7 - Es Trenc Beach - Palma
It's time to head back to Palma. En route, the beautiful cliffs of Cap Blanc and its lighthouse accompany you during your navigation. Almost all of this area is protected and has not undergone any architectural development. Wild coves and rocky islands alternate along the coast, such as Cala des Cap d'Alt and Cala de Cap. These two coves with translucent waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Arrival in Palma at the end of the afternoon, dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 8 - Palma
Landing at 09:00.

    Crociera in luoghi molto suggestivi

Frequently asked questions

  • What documents are needed to travel to the Balearics?

For EU citizens, no visa is needed, just a valid passport.
  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat?

After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus can meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat at an extra cost.
  • How do we organise meals on board the boat?

Most of our cabin cruises include full board and the services of a hostess - cook. Alcoholic drinks are sometimes extra. Check the terms and conditions of your quote. Your adviser will be able to send you the menus proposed on board. They are often prepared with fresh and local products. Please inform us as soon as possible if you have any specific dietary requirements!
  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 25%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid to GlobeSailor no later than one month before boarding. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor prior to departure.
