We are a family with 3 children, and our doughters boyfriend also came along with us. 6 people on a Bavaria 41, living on the sea for a week long.
The charter company did everything to help us. We arrived late on Saturday, the sailor was waiting open, clean, well prepared, and with a little welcome-present from the company: some cold mineral water! :))
All the services from the charter company were well organized. They even could give us a professional skipper for the first 2 days, to show us how to use this brand new ship.
We travelled to the most beautiful sites of the Croatian Adriatic, and stayed on the boat in the highest comfort possible. The sailor was working great, everything was OK.
-Fast and efficient boat checkout.
-Kind and helpful staff. Helped us fint suitable harbours and places to stay, and also recommended a great restaurant.
-Boat was in very good condition, clean and well prepared for sail. Would recommend to install LED bulbs so that lights can be used without draining the service battery.
-8 adults could live fine on this boat, but it is regarded as the maximum number.
All in all we had a vacation we would love to repeat, and the renter was a perfect companion.
Information on requirements [ie qualifications, deposits , insurance etc] and information on the facilities available had to be "asked for".
The dingy was not well maintained [the rollocks came adrift and it was necessary to inflate it further] but great cruise anyway.
the charetr comany was great.
I have been chartering for 11 years in the Med (up to 5 yachts at a time with my Sailing business) and I was impressed with the condition on the boat and the handover. Linen and little extras provided in the welcome pack are very useful. The trip map provided at the end was a nice touch along with the beer glass.
This was my first time chartering a motor boat and the only suggestion I would make is that they try and give more accurate information on the fuel consumption. We used over 3L per NM on a small boat (9.5m Vektor) running at no more than recommended cruising speed (13-15 knots)
The marina at Biograd is hopelessly under resourced in terms of fuelling (2 pumps for approx. 50 yachts returning on Friday). Nothing to do with the charetr company but it needs to improve given the volume of boats which are chartered from this marina. I hope this and other companies can start to apply pressure to the owners of the marina, because I would be hesitant to run my flotillas from Biograd given the issues with refuelling.
Overall, a great charter company with immaculately prepared boats.
