DAY 1: Marseille – The Frioul Islands
Meet at 6 pm in Marseille’s Old Port to board your catamaran. Once you’ve settled into your cabins, enjoy a welcome drink and a briefing from the crew on safety procedures. We then set sail for the Frioul Islands, a small archipelago comprising Pomègues, Ratonneau, Tiboulen and the iconic Île d’If. The Château d’If, made famous by Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo, comes into view from the sea. Dinner and overnight at anchor.

DAY 2: The Frioul Islands – The Calanques – Cassis
Set sail for a cruise along the famous Calanques of Cassis. From the flybridge, you can admire the white limestone cliffs, the shades of blue in the water and the secluded coves. After a swim and lunch, we arrive in Cassis, a charming Provençal harbour village. Stroll through the narrow streets, admire the colourful boats and enjoy an aperitif by the water’s edge. Dinner and overnight at anchor.

DAY 3: Cassis – Porquerolles
After breakfast, set sail for Porquerolles, the largest of the Îles d’Or. Make the most of your free time to explore the island at your own pace: cycle through the vineyards (bike hire at your own expense), swim at Argent Beach, visit the Fort de l’Alycastre… . At the end of the day, settle down on a terrace to soak up the friendly atmosphere of the village before dinner. Dinner and overnight stay at anchor in Porquerolles or near the Giens peninsula.

DAY 4: Porquerolles – Sanary – Les Embiez – Marseille
The cruise continues to Sanary-sur-Mer, a charming Provençal port renowned for its colourful facades, flower market and bustling narrow streets. We then sail on to the Embiez archipelago, a natural, unspoilt haven of peace owned by Paul Ricard (founder of Pastis). These islands offer a peaceful setting, far from the hustle and bustle, ideal for a final swim in crystal-clear waters or a moment of relaxation as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight stay at anchor in Les Embiez or moored at the Old Port of Marseille.

DAY 5: Marseille
Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarking at Marseille’s Old Port at around 9am, with unforgettable memories of your cruise in Provence.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I book flights or a holiday in addition to my cruise?

    YES!
Our travel agency offers all our customers embarking on a cruise the option to book their flights or accommodation. Our bespoke packages are tailored to your needs and budget.

We have created two 100% customisable packages:
    - Peace of Mind Service: Booking your flight tickets.
    - Extension Service: Booking your accommodation (hotel, holiday cottage, villa, etc.) and/or additional activities (excursions, guided tours, car hire, etc.) to make the most of the region’s rich heritage.

Our advisors, who are specialists in the destination, will send you their best suggestions for your holiday.
  • How are my transfers between the airport and the marina arranged?

Your transfers are not included in your cruise package. If you wish, your GlobeSailor advisor can help you arrange them. Please do not hesitate to contact them for further information.
  • Is my cruise 100% English-speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusively for English speaking travellers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board our cruises, as we attract an international clientele. This leads to many enriching exchanges and wonderful encounters!
Furthermore, the crew are mainly English-speaking and qualified to provide you with multilingual service.
  • How does a cruise with a skipper and hostess work?

All the skippers we provide are fully registered and hold the necessary professional qualifications. They speak fluent English. The skipper is responsible for navigation and your safety on board. Please feel free to join in with the manoeuvres; he will be delighted to teach you the basics of sailing. Regarding accommodation, the skipper and the hostess/cook sleep on board (either in the saloon or in the forward cabins).
All our cabin charter cruises include the services of at least one skipper and one hostess (unless otherwise stated in the contract).
  • Does the boat sail under sail alone?

The catamarans and sailing boats available for charter move slowly in light winds, particularly in summer if the wind is too weak or if the sailing conditions are not ideal. Engine assistance is sometimes required to keep to the itinerary’s stopovers and to ensure we have a berth in port or an anchorage for the night. We cannot guarantee a minimum duration of sailing. However, your skipper will do their utmost to sail under sail and involve those who wish to take part in the manoeuvres.
  • What payments do I need to make to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor, who will hold a place for you pending receipt of your deposit. The booking will only be considered final once your deposit (50% of the booking total) has been received (via bank transfer, PayPal or credit card). A 100% deposit will be required for any booking made less than one month before departure. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the embarkation date.
  • What happens if the booking is cancelled?

In the event of cancellation, you must notify your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Regardless of the reason, the following cancellation fees will apply: up to 90 days before departure: 30% /// 89 to 60 days: 50% /// 59 to 30 days: 75% /// 29 days up to departure: 100% of your booking amount.
We advise our customers to take out cancellation insurance with Ouest Assurance: http://www.ouest-assurances.fr
