There are 7 notable villages to visit while in Rogoznica, all accessible by sea. Only 2km by sea, Ražanj has kept its quiet atmosphere because of the distance from the main road. This is ideal if you want to lounge on a virtually vacant beach. Just above the village there is a hill Mvor. Admire the amazing panoramic view of the islands, Rogoznica and the sea from its peak. Connected on the south is Stivasnica. This rocky terrain features intense bike paths and it is the closest point to Cape Planka, the geographical divider between North and South Adriatic. Next, visit Podglavica (Stupin-Celine) on the east side of Rogoznica. Its tourist part is called Stupin-Celine after the bays here. The beach is shallow and crystal clear, part of the sea is protected from ships. There is also an opportunity to dive with or without a mask in the deeper sea. Visit Zatoglav, from this village you have a magnificent view of the peninsula and its surroundings. Don’t forget to visit the largest village Zečevo Rogozničko during your yacht charter in Rogoznica. Rent a bike and ride through the village on its Macadam and asphalt bike trail. From vineyards and olive groves to an unbelievable view of the sea and traditional stone homes from 300 years ago, there is so much to see on the trails. Enjoy the fairytale sunset on the rugged coasts of this village. Kanica village is also a great stop for travelers who enjoy water sports. The village is located on the western side of the peninsula and offers diving, fishing, water skiing and kayaking. There are also small coves perfect to get away from other tourists and experience the beach in your own way. The last village is Dvornica, just 8km eat of Rogoznica. At 91m above sea level this village has many small settlements with houses that have lasted from ancient times to present.
The sea around Rogoznica is extraordinary. Not only is there amazing coral and sea creatures, it has been the site of many shipwrecks because of the treacherous winds Bura and Jugo. There are more than 10 dive sites just off the coast. They range in difficulty from beginner to tech divers only. A must-see dive site is Mulo. The difficulty of this dive depends on weather conditions and currents but in calm waters it’s possible for anyone. There is a cliff about 20m that is full of life. It is covered with coral and is similar to an underwater garden. It’s possible to see squid, spiny lobster, eel, congers and octopus while diving here. Take a quick break from the dive and visit the Austro-Hungarian lighthouse that is now fully automatic but when it was built in 1873 a family lived there year-round. Another dive with more diversity than Mulo is Eco-dive. This is an easy dive that is better at night; the maximum depth is 20m. This shallow underwater botanical garden is filled with squid, eel, schools of fish, different coral and colorful algae. You may even see scorpion fish and Alicia mirabilis (do not touch). If you are an experienced diver, during your yacht charter in Rogoznica, explore the shipwreck of the Italian cargo ship Ninuccia. It was torpedoed by an English Submarine and immediately sunk between the Mulo Lighthouse and Velika Smokvica during World War II. Rogoznica is diver’s paradise!
