Placed in the norteast Italy, Venice is the capital of the Veneto region. The city of Venice as well as the Venetian lagoon are designated as the World Heritage site. Venice is sited on as many as 118 islands separated by canals. You can moore your boat at marinas such as Compagnia della Vela, Diport Velico or Vento di Venezia. The centre of Venice can be easily accessed from the Marco Polo airport by Alilaguna water bus. If you have more time you can visit Verona first and get to Venice by train.

We enjoyed the trip alot; sailing from the Venice Laguna to Croatia and back was fantastic; a combination of long passages through the night and enjoying anchoring at the Dalmation islands. The boat performed well when it came to sailing. The only two flaws where that the engine was overheating. Luckily we were able to fix the problem. The other flaw was that the outboard dinghy never worked. Besides of that I really recommend the charterer and chioggia as a point of departure.

The First 40.7 is superb and Giorgio gave us great guidance for our destinations. I would definetly recommand both.

Bateau conforme très bien, en bon état.
Un skipper extra, ce qui fait 95% de la réussite de la croisière.
Le loueur a insisté pour que la base de départ soit à Caorle et non à Venise comme ce qui était prévu et demandé. Mais nous avons accepté dans la mesure où il a pris à sa charge la navette à l'aller et retour (1h de route). Au final, cela s'est avéré une solution satisfaisante.
