Had a great week on this Lagoon 40, was quite comfortable and not cramped for 6 of us, maybe would be if anymore people. The boat was in great condition and most things worked 100% only had one issue with the boat instruments which was easily and quickly fixed thanks to Jakov.
The only negative was the communication with Pitter prior to getting the boat, and even then - not the end of the world

The boat was excellent, personnel in the marina was very friendly and helpful. We got everything we needed.
The weather was excellent.
The only thing we did not like is price and quality of services in the marinas on our way. Very poor service for very high price.
Overall, the boat and the skipper that we rented through Globe Sailor and Pitter was a good experience. There were some up front promises made about what was included in the charter such as snorkel gear that proved to be untrue. We were also “counseled” by the local yacht company, Mare, to take out additional insurance on the trip even though we had hired a skipper who provided his own insurance. That felt like a small con job at our arrival.. Our skipper, Ivan, was very knowledgeable of the area and provided good advice during the journey. The boat itself was in top shape and was as advertised.
We chartered a Lagoon 450 catamaran with 4 double cabins, 2 single cabins and a double bed for a couple in the saloon (12 berths in total). There were also 4 separate 'heads' and showers en-suite to the double cabins, air conditioning, 3 fridges, a very well equipped galley, fully working Raymarine chart-plotter, GPS and radar. The mainsail (fitted with lazy jacks) and self furling jib were both well designed, enabling very easy handling and stable 'upright' sailing at about 5 - 8 knots in F3 - F5 winds and dependant upon point of sailing. In addition we hired a Gennaker for the week (120 Euros extra) which boosted our sailing speed on a run to 9 - 10 knots in a F5. The 'George' (autopilot) with mobile handset made for very versatile helm control, both on the bridge and in the air conditioned saloon. The twin diesel engines powered the vessel along at just over 8 knots when there was no wind.
Short tacking along narrow channels is not very efficient in a catamaran when compared with a monohull. Manoeuvrability is good and responsive under sail and power. We had an inadvertent 'cap' overboard when under sail in a F5 and managed to retrieve it safely before it sank, even with a 1.6 metre freeboard, in 2 mins 24 secs, very good as an MOB drill practice.
The shelter canopies and cushions provided for sunbathers were much appreciated by everyone. All the basic essentials (cleaning materials, condiments etc) were supplied together with a very welcome gift pack. Suggest extra clothes pegs, particularly if you have young children aboard. The safety net fitted over the guard rails was very reassuring with two toddlers on board.
