Cruise in Marina Veruda

DaveGreat charter the boat did have a few minor defects but they did not effect the safety or use of the yacht.

MarekCranky skipper annoyed by tourists, higher than expected marina costs; great weather, fun swims, nice downtown in Pula. Beware you are prohibited to flush ANY toilet paper down boat toilet. Overall a passive vacation stuck on a boat driving for 5 hours at a time. Minimal sailing (the captain got tired of sailing after 10 minutes despite good wind). Occasionally unclear website re towel fees etc. So if you think you are just coming to relax you might be surprised by “Didn’t you read your contract?” questions coming at you from the staff. IanOur Fontaine Pajot Lucia 40 was in good condition and very clean. The check-in process went relatively smoothly and we had a good week despite the variable winds. You certainly need 2 weeks around here to get any distance without long sails every day. I was suprised how well our cat sailed and despite basic cruising sails we did hit 10kns on occasions. The boat was very comfortable and spacious and everything worked. The only negative was the dinghy. The outboard was far too big (20hp) for the size of the dinghy and the davits needed modifying to simplfy the process of getting it up and down into the water.
