Three Reasons to Rent a Catamaran in Croatia

1. Alluring Adriatic Coastline – Perfect for Sailing

Croatia’s rugged coastline offers the ideal destination for a week catamaran charter. The archipelago off the coast of Split is home to a scattering of enchanting islands, each offering a completely different sailing experience. Sail to Hvar to bask in the heat of an island that gets over 2700 hours of sun each year, or explore the pine forests and ancient towns of Rab. Dock your catamaran in the marina and wander through the pretty olive groves and secret coves of Korčula... A crewed boat rental in Croatia will be an extraordinary adventure as your skipper can show you details of some luxury island swimming spots and the best berths for a quiet sleep in your cabins. Guests will appreciate a great night's sleep in their cabins after a long day of exploring the Croatian coastline. Docking your yacht in the quiet berths of Croatia is a lower price option than Split or Dubrovnik and offers enchanting views of the landscape.

2. Watersports for all!

Sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, diving… you can do it all during your catamaran charter in Croatia! Charter your boat from any of our ACI Marinas in Croatia and plan your sailing so you can stop off in Fraskeric and snorkel with seahorses or go diving in Brac and discover the vibrant marine life inhabiting the seabeds surrounding the island. Cape Kamenjak is a popular destination for kayaking, windsurfing and snorkeling, so rent your yacht from our Pula base and set sail south for an action-packed day. Snorkeling gear is often included in your charter price, so try out something new and explore the mysterious marine life beneath the waves! A day or week of adventure means you will be happy to rest in the cabins at night in the selection of berths in Croatia.

3. Optimal Sailing Conditions

If you want stress-free navigation, the Adriatic is one of your best bets! Sailing in Croatia is bliss; with a calm breeze (winds averaging 10-20 knots) and perfect temperatures in the high 20s, the mild climate is ideal for a catamaran charter vacation. If you choose a crewed catamaran sailing holiday throughout the islands of Croatia, you can relax and enjoy the experience – what luxury!

The Best of Croatia’s Beaches

Home to some of Europe’s most stunning beaches, Croatia is by no means short of choice. Set sail on your catamaran and discover charming, secret coves and glorious golden stretches of sand…
While on your yacht charter, we recommend:

  • Lovrečina Bay, Brač Island: this sandy/pebbled cove is an idyllic spot for paddling in translucent waters, surrounded by dense greenery, with olive groves just a few strides up from the beach. Sail your Lagoon or Dufour catamaran here for idyllic views.
  • Betina Cave, Dubrovnik: this hidden beach is shielded from the usual crowd of tourists, which is typical in Croatia. Only accessible by boat, it offers a little oasis of privacy and serenity under the shade of a natural cave. Skippers on crewed yacht charters often recommend this as a day trip for tranquillity.
  • Zlatni Rat, Brač Island: the most famous beach in Croatia and an essential sailing destination during your catamaran charter, Zlatni Rat boasts picture-perfect turquoise waters and a unique strip of golden sand that stretches out to a tip, with panoramic ocean and island views! Spend a day topping up your tan here, enjoy a drink over sunset and then head to your cabins early so you can be up the next day to sail some more!

Sailing around the stunning and diverse islands of Croatia’s Adriatic Coast by day has never been easier. Choose from our range of stylish catamarans and hire a crew or go bareboat to explore Croatia. Sailing Bareboat or with a Crew

Sailing a catamaran bareboat or with a skipper is a personal preference and depends on several factors, such as experience, comfort level, and budget. Suppose you are an experienced sailor with a good understanding of navigation and want to take the helm as the captain of the boat. In that case, yacht charters without a skipper (also called bareboat) can be a rewarding adventure, as it provides more freedom and flexibility to explore the destination at your own pace. However, if you are a beginner or prefer a more relaxed sailing holiday, sailing with a skipper is the best option. A skipper is like the captain of the catamaran, and they can provide guidance, share their local knowledge, and ensure the safety of the crew and the boat.

There is also an option to have a hostess or a cook on board our catamarans. A hostess is responsible for making two of the daily meals (usually breakfast and lunch) and will take care of the boat's upkeep (tidying up common areas etc.). A cook is responsible for making all three meals on board the boat. Both crewed options allow clients to eat Croatian-inspired dishes aboard a beautiful catamaran. Some guests prefer to choose the hostess option as it allows them to sail to a different marina each night and find the best authentic Croatian restaurants on land.
