Bar is a modern town but it also has some old historical remains like the 1000 year old town of Stari Bar, located about 4 km away from the seashore. It is the largest urban agglomeration in the ruins of Montenegro. The marina in Bar is a good starting point for your sailing vacation. The airport in Podgorica is 45 km from the town, car parking is in front of marina and the town centre is only a few minutes away by foot. Supermarkets, banks, restaurants and shops are all nearby.
