Brest

Located in the very west of Europe, Brest is an important seaside town with quality infrastructure for sailors. Brest is a great port of embarkation as well as a stopover destination. Brest is also a major trading, passenger and a military port with a powerful arsenal. The main attraction of Brest is its castle from the 15th century. Musée National de la Marine (National Navy Museum) is another tourist stop for everyone interested in sailing. One of the main reasons for dropping your anchor at one of the marinas of Brest many be the excellent restaurants serving seafood or creperies where you can taste Breton crepe. Brest offers everything a sailor needs- from excellent food to necessary services and modern marinas.
