Varied cruise with anchor and harbor moorings

After quickly completing the handover formalities at the White Blue Seas office right next to the pier in the Olympic Marina Lavrion, the briefing for our Oceanis 38.1 was also professional and efficient, without petty counting of equipment items. The ship was in good to very good condition for its age of 9 years and functionally top-notch. To meet the requirements of the charter contract, we sailed on Sunday to Foinikas/Syros (anchorage in the bay) and then reached the furthest point from the base the next day at Rineia (bay on the uninhabited island). Unfortunately, a visit to Delos did not fit into our schedule. After a hike on the hill next to the bay, we were able to catch a glimpse of the excavations. We then continued to Tinos (harbor spot, city visit, and pilgrimage church) back to Syros, this time to the bustling capital of the Cyclades, Hermoupolis, where we docked again at the harbor quay next to a cruise ship. After a stormy crossing, we had our last overnight stay in a cozy bay on Kea (Spahti) before returning to Lavrion. The inspection of the ship was again completely problem-free, although there was no damage except for a broken wine glass. Total distance 147 NM.
