The base is huge, loud, and stressful. Fortunately, a detailed site plan was sent in advance. Once on the boat, the vacation feeling began. Everything needed for sailing was better than our previous experiences: stable standing rigging, sufficient and adequately sized anchoring gear, the best sails we have had on a charter boat so far. No jam in the mast's roller system, no sagging sail that only pushes sideways instead of forward, we were still sailing at 6.5 knots at 20 degrees to the wind. Any shortcomings due to a lack of towels or a dirty pan were quickly forgotten. This time, a few new destinations were recommended to us, such as the Peloponnese to the south. It truly does not fall short of the islands. A bit away from Athens, it became really quiet and cozy in every bay and harbor. Great people. The hospitality and friendliness begin to fade in the centers. But further out, the world is still intact. We are already looking forward to the next time.
