DAY 1 : Bormes-les-Mimosas
Meet at 4pm in the port of Bormes-les-Mimosas for your boarding. Once on board, you will meet your trainer and your crew members, and go around the boat. The skipper will present you with the different possibilities of stopovers according to the weather forecast. You will then discuss your course objectives: discovering the points of sail, perfecting your sail settings, revising port manoeuvres, etc.

DAY 2 to 7 : Sailing
You hoist the sails and set course for your first stopover. This will be an opportunity to put into practice the various points discussed the day before with your trainer.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of the stops you will make during your crossing:

  • Stops in the Calanques: The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region is full of calanques, each one as beautiful as the next. You may discover the Calanque Pinet, the Calanque de Porto Fino, the Calanque de la Tripe, the beach of the Grande Calanque and many others by following the coast towards the south. Most are only accessible by sea.

  • Les îles du Frioul, form an archipelago composed of 4 islands: Pomègues, Ratonneau, If and Tiboulen, belonging to the 7th arrondissement of Marseille. Each of them has its own history and is home to an important flora in the middle of a wild nature.
    • Pomègues is the largest island of the archipelago. It is particularly wild and home to many corners of paradise... The Calanques de la Crine or de l'Escondelle are among the most beautiful pearls of the island. The tower of the island Pomègues and the battery of Semaphore will offer you magnificent panoramas.
    • Ratonneau is connected to the island Pomègues by the dike Berry. It is known for its hospital, named "l'hôpital Caroline" in honour of the Italian duchess Marie Caroline de Bourbon who stayed there in quarantine before marrying Charles Ferdinand d'Artois (son of Charles X). At the top of the island, you will find Fort Ratonneau overlooking the beautiful cove of Sainte-Estève.
    • If is an islet whose fortress was built in the sixteenth century on the orders of Francis I to protect access to the port of Marseille. It was essentially used as a prison from which no one seemed to be able to escape except perhaps, Edmond Dantes, the famous hero of the Comte de Monte-Cristo written by Alexandre Dumas.
    • Tiboulen is located in the west of the archipelago. It is a 30 metre high islet topped by a green traffic light with 3 flashes per 12 seconds and visible up to 7 nautical miles away!

  • The Lerins Islands lie opposite the bay of Cannes. This archipelago with its green colours is composed of the islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. Each of them is accompanied by an uninhabited islet, respectively the islet of Tradelière and the islet Saint-Ferréol.
    • Sainte-Marguerite is home to a state-owned forest of Aleppo pines and eucalyptus as well as an ornithological reserve present on the Pointe du Batéguier (to the west of the island). The whole is overlooked by the Royal Fort of Sainte-Marguerite. It was very quickly diverted from its initial vocation of defence to become a state prison. It was here that the mysterious man in the Sea Mask was locked up... It has since been transformed into a Museum of the Sea gathering underwater remains but also terrestrial ones (shipwrecks, Roman cities...).
    • Saint-Honorat owes its name to the Cistercian monk Honorat who built his abbey in the 5th century on the island. Even today, the monks cultivate their vineyards and produce wines and liqueurs that are very popular in the region. The island is covered in unspoilt nature that is easy to explore on foot.

You could even sail all the way to Corsica if conditions permit... This little corner of paradise with a strong identity and turquoise water lined with beautiful beaches will seduce you as soon as you see it...

DAY 8 : Bormes-les-Mimosas
You will disembark in the port of Bormes-les-Mimosas around 9am.
