Cruise in Corfu

Your cruise in Corfu

Placed at the north end of the Ionian Sea, Corfu is the second largest island of the archipelago of the Ionian Islands. Its irregular coastline consists of numerous capes and bays. Look out for Gouvia, a tourist resort popular amongst boaters in Summer. You can moor you boat at one of the countless marinas such as Benitses, Paleokastritsa, Ipsos, Kassiopi, Lefkimi, Sinion, Petriti or Agni, to name some of them. Take your time travelling between the islands, mountain ranges, lakes and valleys and enjoy your cruise around the magic Corfu.

It was my third sailing boat tour This time we had 2 more couples with that where sailing for the first time. But now for the facts . The welcome at the Sailing Company was very good organized and do the check in was done in due time. For our luck the Sailing Yacht was also ready to go. We meat our Skipper on board and the final check up where fine and we left for our tour. Very body had a great time and sure next year we are back for our next tour.

Amazing service from day of sending enquiry through to booking and picking the boat up. We could not fault a thing. Very welcoming and accommodating and wow what a boat. Highly recommend this company and will definitely return.

We arrived at gouvia marina by taxi (20 min, 20€ from Corfou). There is a supermarket outside of the marina which is much better and cheaper than the one inside. The boat was ready for 6pm so we quickly checked the boat, and left. The boat was only a few months old so in perfect conditions. We were 4 (my wife, 2 daughters aged 7 and 8 and I). The next 2 weeks were spent to explore the ionians islands that are each different. In the second half of July it was easy to find moorings in good weather but when the wind started to be strong, it was better to arrive in the morning to catch a good spot. There are a lot of flotillas not always polite, sometimes noisy and reckless. We liked lakka in paxos, kioni frikes and Stavros in ithaca, ay Eufemia in Kefalonia all small ports with good restaurants and very nice people. We went to zakyntos but it doesn't worth the trip, too crowded too far. I am not a very experienced wind sailor, and my wife isn't at all so I never raised the sails and went by the engine that were very silent in 2 weeks I used around 300 l. The waiting line at the gazole station is quite a problem we spent more than 1 hour in a very disorganized queue with mega yachts going in and out of the marina.

Rapid and responsive service with excellent choice of boats at the right specification and price in a very short timeframe. A good welcome and support at the marina in Corfu.
