Amalfi and the Capri area offers some Stunning scenery, a great welcome and some steep prices! Things were quieter than usual this year due to C19, but still some harbours and marinas were pretty full.
By looking around you can find v good anchorages - we anchored 3 nights from 6 - but even Buoy moorings cost €120-140 a night. Marinas are €150 a night (and can be double this In capri, so avoid the marina there and anchor in the bay on south coast of the island). For a normal year, plan for it to be super busy and hard to get a berth/ mooring.
Suck up the high costs and you will have a Great time!
Everything was very good just few details in the boat condition
Everything went smoothly and there were no hidden surprises by the charter company. We had a marvelous captain who guided us to lovely bays and charming seaside towns. Excited to book again for next year! Thank you !
We’ve boarded a catamaran with family and friends from Salerno and went through Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, Ischia and Procida for a week. What an amazing region! Discovering this coast and those islands from the sea left us with precious and beautiful memories!
Our skipper made it so memorable too! He taught us a lot about some of the architecture pieces, the history of the place, gave us tips on what to do absolutely and taught us how to cook a few Italian dishes with fresh local produce.
My only slight criticism was having to go back to port the night before the check out was due as we were hoping to stay one more night mooring somewhere for an early swim in these cristal bleu (and warm) waters before giving the boat back.
We’ll come back and do two weeks instead next time to avoid the frustration.
