My only recommendation is that when traveling to Tanzania, it is advisable to bring cash as there are few places where you can pay with a card.

The staff took great care of us before our departure and answered all our various questions as inexperienced "first-time charterers" not only with a lot of patience but also quickly. A pick-up on the beach within walking distance from our hotel instead of at the pier was just as little of an issue as a drop-off in the north of Unguja, where we stayed for a few more nights afterwards. And since we had asked for SUPs, Trevor arranged for two additional SUPs before departure, in addition to the one that was already planned. Bravo!

The trip itself took us (2 adults and 3 teenagers) for a week from Zanzibar Stone Town around the northern tip of Unguja (aka "Zanzibar") to Mnemba, then further to Pemba and along the east coast to the northern tip - and back again. Along the way, we had various snorkeling stops, admired dolphins, went fishing, visited beaches - everything as we wished. Even water skiing on the SUPs was no problem!

The crew was exceptionally nice: a great skipper who even showed us his hometown in North Pemba at our request, a cook who conjured up delicious meals one after another on the two stove burners (including the freshest fish carpaccio ever), and an additional "deckhand" who kept everything running and constantly ferried us around in the dinghy - and stayed within sight while snorkeling in case anyone needed help.

We would (and may) set off again anytime with the boat and its crew!
