We chartered the Elan 444 yacht from Mediterranean Sailing Group. We took over the yacht in good condition, and as a bonus, there was a brand new electric motor for the dinghy. Water and fuel were filled to the brim. The technical support was more than satisfactory - the bosun George was friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out were smooth and problem-free.
Unfortunately, one detail lowers the rating - the location. The contract and notifications mention Flisvos Marina - a luxurious spot with all amenities. In reality, we found the yacht (with difficulty) at the local Amfitheas club behind Flisvos. The conditions were pathetic - no charter office, no bathrooms or toilets. The state of the wooden, holey dock was third world. There aren't even mooring buoys; the lines and moorings are attached to the dock using decaying car tires. A disappointing experience.
