Les Sables d'Olonne

Les Sables d'Olonne

Les Sables d'Olonne at the heart of the Vendee is a pleasant resort and home to a large marina. Les Sables d'Olonne is probably the most important town on the Cote Lumiere and it has as many as three different ports including Port Olona for pleasure boats. Dock your boat in Les Sables d'Olonne and take a break in one of the restaurants or go to the casino. Les Sables d'Olonne is famous for the Vendee Globe yacht race around the World, but it is a good starting point not only if you plan around the world tour. Les Sables d'Olonne is a great departure base if you would like to visit the adjacent islands of Ré or Yeu.
