Fantastic cruising location !

The base in Phuket is excellent with a good restaurant and showers on site.. Location is easy access to the airport and taxis are readily available. The staff were very helpful and gave good advice on cruising locations. The Island spirit 380 that we chartered was quite tired for a 2017 boat that had some niggling issues. Having chartered a 2017 boat one would have expected everything to be prefect on board. However these issues were addressed as best as possible by the charter company. There are supermarkets within easy reach for stocking the boat before departure. Water rationing can be an issue as the only island to refill your water tanks is Phi Phi.
Overall the east coast of Phuket is a fantastic cruising area and all the islands are within easy reach which made for a very enjoyable holiday. We would highly recommend it for a bareboat charter holiday but maybe go in Nov- Dec when the temperature is a little cooler. We went in April and had over 40C most days which was very hot !
