The staff at the charter base were relaxed. As a consequence, the boat was not well maintained. The anchor winch gearbox was leaking oil and was replaced at the last minute at my insistence. The switch panel was junk and is supposed to be replaced. I had to pull the fuse to turn off the refrigerator... and so on. No drama - but for a ship from 2022, it was quite worn out. And the ship had not been rented the week before my trip. A lot could have been taken care of.
This did not detract from the trip; we had a good time and the sailing performance of the Elan is good.
