Everything was super easy and relaxed. The location in Lidingö was a bit chaotic, but everything was very laid-back. Super friendly and helpful staff. Only parking was a bit difficult, as you have to search a bit in the public space. But it worked out. Would love to do it again!

Shores of sweden

We sailed this boat between the skerries of Stockholm and the Aland Islands. In open water, it performed quite mediocrely, but in the sheltered passages between the islands, it sailed remarkably well. It was agile, fast, and had a shallow draft. A small downside was the somewhat too spacious cockpit. Sometimes there was a lack of support points or anything to hold onto. Our model was only a few months old, so everything was super fresh and fragrant. The grill at the stern nicely enhances the comfort and attractiveness of the trip. An interesting feature was the wide, double-wing doors to the bow cabin. When opened, the space of the saloon visually almost doubles. The area itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly clean. We were there after the season, so it was quite cold, but totally empty. Indeed, the Mediterranean tempts with food and warmth, but apart from that, in terms of nature and opportunities, the north beats the south hands down! I highly recommend it.

Skiers of stockholm and lake mälaren. family wandering.

Just before the cruise, it turned out that the charter company replaced our yacht from an old Dufour to a 2017 Oceanis 38.1. The yacht was significantly newer and better equipped. The price remained unchanged, only the deposit was increased by an additional €500. The cruise was planned as a family wandering during the day from rock to rock. We also wanted to spend a few days on Lake Mälaren. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we minimized visits to marinas. Visiting Stockholm was also removed from the schedule.
Technically, the yacht was very well prepared, all devices were functional. The cabins were clean, and the bedding was changed. The handover of the yacht was efficient, and all important technical details were shown. The yacht was registered under the French flag, but it did not display a flag (lack of flagpole and ensign, no flag on the backstay, no Swedish courtesy flag under the rigging).
The yacht was prepared for skerry sailing by adding a 10kg Bruce anchor at the stern, with an additional 2m chain and 30m of line on the drum. The anchor was suspended and secured in a spring-loaded holder. It could not be released during the approach; it had to be prepared in advance and delegated to a person during maneuvers. The yacht was equipped with appropriately sized mooring lines and spikes and hooks for mooring on rocks.
However, the main inconvenience during mooring on rocks and in marinas (bow to the quay) was the lack of any ladder or steps at the bow. Due to the height of the deck from the water (about 1.5m), disembarking from the bow was practically impossible. Disembarking on rocks had to be sent earlier by dinghy, and in marinas, assistance was needed at the quay. For the lack of a ladder at the bow, I deduct one star in the rating.
I recommend the charter company; on-site, there is a professional team that can prepare the yacht and assist in its use. Previously, easy and effective email contact. On-site communication via SMS.
I recommend the charter company, the yacht, and the skerries themselves. The cruise program was realized, and everyone was satisfied :-).

Archipelago, far out

Boat pickup and return were competent, friendly, and uncomplicated, the boat was in good condition and almost new. The engine ran perfectly, but we mostly sailed in good wind in an unforgettable beautiful environment, mostly in remote bays, often alone. The nautical charts and descriptions of the ports and bays we received with the boat were the best I have ever seen; I will acquire these books for other areas myself.
