Designed by the Franco-Italian architects Umberto Felci for the hull and Patrick Roséo for the deck and layout, the Dufour 40 is a fast offshore boat. Her fluid lines provide a strong potential for speed on all points of sail. With all the main control lines within easy reach, the helmsman can focus on sailing and adjusting the boat’s settings, solo or with a reduced crew. The wide side-decks allow space for circulation and easy manoeuvring. All control lines, including reefing, are led back to the cockpit to minimise manoeuvres at the foot of the mast. Inside, the layout is spacious thanks to an optimal use of the inner volume. The simple and modern woodwork features many clever details that will facilitate life on board.
