Your skipper has concocted the ideal itinerary for you to discover a UNESCO-listed heritage site, the volcanic archipelago of the Aeolian Islands. Every day you will explore a new island, shaped for thousands of years by the hazards of volcanic phenomena...
DAY 1: Portorosa - Vulcano (about 15 miles)
Your crew will be waiting for you in the Portorosa marina at 5pm. Once on board, you will discover your cabin and attend a short safety briefing. You then set course for your first port of call, Vulcano! The skipper drops anchor in front of the beautiful black sand beach of Gelso. Putting on flippers, a mask and a snorkel, you can observe hundreds of gas bubbles rising to the surface. Dinner and night on board.
DAY 2: Vulcano - Lipari (about 8 miles)
This morning we suggest you to reach the Great Crater of Vulcano. This ascent (about 2 hours walk) will be rewarded by the exceptional beauty of the panorama! A piece of advice, remember to bring your camera. Back on the boat, you are on your way to Lipari, the largest island of the Aeolian Islands. A refreshing break is necessary near the "di Ponente" beach before passing by the unmissable Faraglioni rocks and a stop at Porto Pignataro. Scooter rentals are available to visit the island according to your wishes. Dinner and night on board.
DAY 3: Lipari - Salina (about 6 miles)
After breakfast, head in the direction of Porticello, a white sandy beach bordered by crystal clear water. You take the sea again to reach Salina, an island known for its vineyards and white wine. You make a stopover in the southeast of the island to discover the village of Lingua and its salt lake. Don't miss the famous bar "Da Alfredo", specialist of the traditional "granita", a delicious crushed fruit ice cream. You then head to Santa Marina for the night. Dinner on board.
DAY 4: Salina - Panarea (about 10 miles)
The skipper hoists the sails and heads for Pollara Bay for a swimming break. It was the setting for the famous Oscar winning film "The Postman". It is then time to sail to Panarea, the smallest of the Aeolian Islands. You anchor in the Milazzese bay before leaving to explore its archaeological site and the village of Cala Junco, dating back to the Paleolithic period. You will have dinner and spend the night in front of it.
DAY 5: Panarea - Stromboli - Panarea (about 13 miles)
You have breakfast in the middle of the incredible rocks of Lisca Bianca, the result of underwater eruptive phenomena. The clear water of this peaceful place invites you to rest and relax. After lunch, your journey continues to Stromboli, the island with the smallest port in the world. You stop on the beach of Punta Lena until dinner. Afterwards, the crew will take you to contemplate the "sciara di fuoco" (fire alley), a lava flow from the top of the volcano down to the sea. Night in Panarea.
DAY 6: Panarea - Filicudi (about 24 miles)
You make your way to Filicudi and drop anchor in front of the famous "Scoglio La Canna", a rock of impressive stature, standing at 70 meters high. It is also an exceptional site for all snorkeling enthusiasts. The underwater fauna and flora are particularly varied. At the end of the day, you anchor in the bay of Pecorini and enjoy the tranquility of its beach for a walk. Dinner and night on board.
