Deciding between a sailing yacht and a catamaran? Between the Cyclades and Sardinia? Wondering when to sail to make the most of discounts, or which charter company to book with?
Come and see us. These are exactly the kinds of questions we love talking through with you 😊
A century of boat shows in Paris
The Paris boat show recently celebrated its centenary. It began on the banks of the Seine before moving in 1962 beneath the vaulted roof of the CNIT in La Défense, where masts rose through five levels. It was there, in 1965, that General de Gaulle congratulated sailor Éric Tabarly, a moment still remembered in the French sailing community.
In the early 1990s, the show moved to Porte de Versailles and became a major winter gathering for boating enthusiasts. Following its last edition within the city of Paris in 2022, the Paris Nautic Show revived the tradition in late 2025 at Le Bourget. The venue, 20 minutes from central Paris, makes it easier to display sailing yachts and catamarans. This second edition marks the return of a major Parisian event bringing together sailing, motorboating, boardsports, equipment, tourism and boat hire. GlobeSailor looks forward to welcoming you back for this second edition, continuing a tradition of nearly 20 years at the show!
Summer 2026: A look back at the season
The boat hire market ended the summer on a positive note. Despite an increase in last-minute bookings and global economic uncertainty, good weather and high temperatures encouraged more holidays on the water. This was particularly evident along the French coast, where sales rose by 12%. Bookings from French customers rose by 7% compared with 2025, while revenue increased by 9%. Greece and Croatia remained among the most popular overseas destinations for French boaters, ahead of Italy.
Step aboard the latest sailing yachts and catamarans
The show gives you a chance to step aboard the boats you might charter on your next holiday. Boatbuilders will open their latest models to visitors, so you can get a feel for the space, comfort, cabins and cockpit before choosing your next charter boat 😊
Sailing yachts
Jeanneau will showcase the Sun Odyssey 350, 415 and 455, while Beneteau will display the Oceanis 34.1, 40 and 52. They are part of the same ranges as some of the boats most frequently chartered by our customers this summer, including the Sun Odyssey 410 and the Oceanis 40.1.

Catamarans
The Lagoon 43 is the brand’s new model and succeeds the popular Lagoon 42. The Excess 13 is designed for those who enjoy a more spirited sail.
