We offer sailing courses with selected sailing schools, on sailboats and catamarans from France, on the French Riviera, the Atlantic coast, and the Caribbean, but also in other destinations (Spain, Croatia, etc.). Summer or winter, embark on a course to learn to sail on one of our boats with a state-certified instructor. Regularly check our course offers that evolve according to the seasons and availability !

Renting a boat without a skipper
After several coastal or offshore training courses, become a skipper and hire a boat without a skipper in the destination of your choice. You will save on the cost of a skipper (around €300/day) and sail completely independently!

Many students have plans to become boat owners, but first want to gain confidence or validate their skills. Talk to the instructor and our advisors, who will then be able to guide you towards the right boat model and the best authorised dealers!

What is the average duration of a sailing course?
Our sailing courses last an average of one week, which is enough time to learn basic sailing manoeuvres or to progress to the point of becoming autonomous.
This also allows you to experiment with different weather and wind conditions and to learn different types of navigation under sail in order to improve your skills. The duration of our sailing courses is indicated in the details of each offer. Short programmes (2 to 3 days) are also possible and are indicated in our descriptions. -
Do you need a boating licence for a sailing course?
You don't need to have a licence nor any skills to sign up for a sailing course. Ask your GlobeSailor advisor about the level of the course and whether it matches your experience. -
What skills are required to embark on a sailing course?
No particular skills are required, apart from good humour and a desire to learn to sail and share good times together! Depending on your level and the weather, the instructor will adapt to his crew and give you the appropriate training to help you progress and become independent in sailing. -
What is the minimum age to take part in a course?
The minimum age will depend on the type of course, but it's preferable to already know how to swim, but also to be interested in sailing to be able to take part and have fun as part of a crew. We recommend a minimum age of 14 or 15 to sign up for a sailing course. Minors must also be accompanied by a parent -
What is the average price of a sailing course?
Course prices vary according to duration, number of people on board, boat and period.Be sure to check the amount of the on-board cash-box, which is often added in cash on site (generally between €25 and €30/person/day).
