Jack and Ema were wonderful
We really enjoyed our time on the sea. Jack and Ema were so friendly and knowledgeable of each port. They made recommendations on where to go and made sure that we were taken care of the entire time. Ema’s meals were delicious and she always created a peaceful atmosphere.

Honestly the best holiday we have every had!
From the first email enquiry, to stepping off the boat with a heavy heart...this was a dream come true. AMAZING service from Francesca with the quotes and booking and for arranging something extra special for my birthday on board too. The boat was excellent and plenty of room for all to either have some alone time, or be with the other guests. Very comfortable cabins with plenty of space and many options for seating, lying down, sun tanning on board. Jack and Emma were legends and we had so many laughs and they were the perfect skipper and hostess and just lovely people. The experience and knowledge they both have in so many different topics was brilliant and we couldn't imagine another sailing trip without them. Emma fed us the most delicious and varied menu. All so so good and was always so much food that nobody ever went hungry...and she did all of this with a massive smile on her face too. Could not recommend this experience more highly! Thank you for make my dream of a sailing holiday come true, and giving me the best 50th birthday I could ever imagine....we WILL be doing another cruise, that's guaranteed.

Fantastic Experience
This was a dream vacation. Our skipper Jack is a true sailor, Very knowledgeable of the Saronic Islands, super skilled at sailing. He kept us well informed of the schedule all along the way. We had some higher level winds the week of our trip, and he adjusted the schedule slightly so that we could take advantage of getting good time under sail, but still found a quiet protected cove that would allow all of us to have a great night sleep. Hostess Emma, is warm and friendly, putting everyone at ease. She is a great cook, the meals were all fantastic. She is also very knowledgeable of the islands and restaurants and shops, giving helpful tips at each stop. Before boarding we were a little unsure how the comfort of the cabins would be. Happy to say the beds are approximately Queen size, easily accommodates 2 tall adults. There were enough cubbies and drawers to put all our clothes and toiletries in without issue, but would recommend that you pack light. (It is a little like glamping.) The boat itself has many different areas to lounge or sit. It allows the passengers the choice of interacting or getting time to themselves. Also good options for sun or shade. The very best part of the trip was all the swimming and snorkeling. The water is just incredible. There are multiple opportunities to get into the water each day. I highly recommend taking advantage of every stop..
Frequently asked questions
-
Who are Mike and Magda, your crew?
During your one-week cruise, you will sail alongside an experienced and dynamic crew.
Michal, your skipper is Polish. He has been sailing catamarans and monohulls for over 15 years. Over the years and through a multitude of voyages (Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Tanzania, Sweden, etc.), he has accumulated vast nautical miles and valuable experience. Greece is one of his favourite sailing destinations and his vast knowledge of the navigation area will allow you to discover the most beautiful places of the Saronic Gulf.
Magda, your hostess is also Polish. She spent her life working as a nurse, until she changed career to combine her caring nature and her love of the sea. She now sails the Agean Sea as a hostess/cook on catamarans and monohulls. She will make you delicious meals with local produce.
Your crew is fluent in English and Magda even speaks some French. -
Why should you tip the crew?
It is a very common gesture from both Greeks and tourists to tip the crew. The amount is usually between 5% to 10% of the total service (although the amount is at your discretion according to the service). Our crew (skipper and hostess) work hard each week to give you the best holiday memories. So if at the end of the cruise you feel the crew did an excellent job and lived up to your expectations, let them know by tipping them well! This is both rewarding and encouraging for them. -
Can I use those services as an addition to my cruise?
YES!
Our services are available to all clients who embark on our cruise. Our tailor-made offers are adapted to your needs and your budget.
We have created two fully customisable offers:
- Serenity Service: Booking of your flight tickets.
- Extension Service: Booking of your accommodation (hotel, house, villa, etc.) and/or complementary activities such as excursions, guided tours, car rental, etc.
Our dedicated advisors will be happy to assist you in your holiday planning. -
Is everyone on board English-speaking?
Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service. -
How does the half board work?
This cruise in Greece includes half board. Your hostess will organise breakfasts and lunches with fresh and local produce. Wine is included in the lunchtime meal. Dinners will be onshore, each one of you is free to do as you wish.
A dinner is still planned on the day of arrival aboard the boat, and a breakfast will be served on the last day before leaving the catamaran around 9am.
Alcoholic beverages (other than wine) are available at an additionable cost. Please inform us as soon as possible if you are allergic to certain foods or if you follow a specific diet. -
What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?
If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 30%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider. -
What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?
All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, in a seperate cabin.
The hostess/cook will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and make sure the boat is kept tidy. -
Does the boat operate only with the sails?
It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres. -
How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat?
Don't forget to foward us your flight details. You can reach the catamaran in Marina Alimos by taxi (approx. 30min). The crew and base manager will welcome you on your arrival. -
What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?
To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding. -
What documents do I need in order to travel to Greece ?
You don't need any sailing licence. For stays of under 3 months you will just need a valid passport or ID.
