Are you tempted by a cruise in one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world, the Mergui? This little piece of Burmese paradise is located in the Andaman Sea (southwest of Burma) is composed of more than 800 islands. Its recent opening to the public has allowed it to preserve an almost intact nature. Our local crew will take you for 6 days on the tracks of the Moken people. This preserved eldorado also has some beautiful culinary surprises.

Sail between the Mergui Islands aboard Meta IV, a sailboat built in 1998 and renovated in 2019. At 25 meters long, she offers considerable space and living comfort. Her interior is as elegant as it is wooded, with a functional kitchen and a pleasant lounge area. Most of the time your meals will be served outside, allowing you to admire the landscape while enjoying delicious local specialties. To take full advantage of the sun, deckchairs will be at your disposal.

Your Cabin

This sailboat has 2 double cabins, 1 twin cabin and 1 triple cabin for passengers. They are all air-conditioned and equipped with storage space, electrical outlets, a porthole, a bathroom with shower and private toilet.

More than a trip, it is an unforgettable experience! These wild islands are home to an extremely diverse ecosystem that you will have the opportunity to explore during your daily stops. You'll walk through dense jungles, swim with colourful reef fish and enjoy enchanting landscapes.

Day 1 : Kawthaung - Barwell
Meet at 12:00 pm for your embarkation in Kawthaung, the southernmost city of Burma (Myanmar in Burmese). You will be warmly welcomed by our local crew who will lead you to your quarters. You will install your stuff before going around the boat. The captain will then give the order to cast off and head for Barwell. Swimming, relaxation and sunset will be the order of the day. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 2 : Barwell - Tang La Bo - Pony - Nyaung Wee
After breakfast, you hoist the sails and head for Tang La Bo. This island, with its beautiful and diverse marine life, has incredible snorkelling spots. After lunch, you will sail to Pony Island. This island is the refuge of many wild and colourful birds such as: the red-throated souimanga, the hornbill or the eagle. The crew will suggest you to spend the night in the bay of Nyaung Wee, located on Buda Island. Dinner on board.

Day 3 : Nyaunug Wee - Lampi National Park - Pulo Bunai
Your trip in the archipelago continues on Lampi Island. Its marine national park was created in 1996 and protects a particularly rich biodiversity, more than 1000 plant, marine and animal species. This stopover will also be an opportunity to visit a Moken village. The Moken (also known as "sea gypsies") are a nomadic people who live mainly from the sea. You will reach the bay of Pulo Bunai illuminated by its luminescent plankton for the night. Dinner on board.

Day 4 : Pulo Bunai - Kyun Pila
The captain raises the anchor and sets sail for Kyun Pila. This day will be dedicated to water activities, fishing and discovering the island on foot. You will put on fins, mask and snorkel to explore the sea bed and kayak along the shore. At the end of the afternoon, the crew will light a bonfire on the beach, from where you can watch the sunset. Dinner on board or on the island (depending on weather conditions).
Optional : scuba diving, on request.

Day 5 : Kyun Pila - Île 115 - Taung La Bo ou Kyun Pya Gui
You take the open sea to go to the island 115. This unnamed island is covered by a jungle, ideal for walking. You will also appreciate its white sandy beach and its crystal clear water. After lunch, you will sail to Taung La Bo or Kyun Pya Gui Island (depending on weather conditions). The crew will take you to Hasting Bay for a dinner prepared with fresh and local products.

Day 6 : Kawthaung
Take advantage of the morning to dive one last time and swim in the turquoise sea. It will then be time to set sail for Kawthaung. You will disembark around 12:00, after the brunch.
