Croatia

Day 1 - Trogir – Komiza (Vis Island)
You will embark on your catamaran in the afternoon. Once on board your captain will head in the direction of Komiza, a small passenger port with homes dating from the 17th and 18th century nestled in the hills. This first period of sailing will give you the chance to get to know your crew and familiarise yourself with the catamaran.

Day 2 - Komiza (Vis Island) – Bisevo – Vis
In the morning you will sail towards the breathaking blue cave on the islet of Biševo. To see it at its most bright blue and silver it is best to go between 10h and 13h. In the evening your captain will bring you towards the town of Vis which is renowned for its calm and quiet atmosphere as well as its 700 hectares of vineyards. Built in 937 BC it has maintained its Mediterranean charm and historical sites.

Day 3 – Vis – Vela Luka (Korkula Island)
Today you will head towards the largest settlement on the island of Korkula: Vela Luka. The inhabitants of this town make their living principally from farming, fishing and tourism. The cultural centre is home to an archeological collection which dates from prehistoric times and includes discoveries made on the neolithic site near to the Vela cave and the other roman remains.

Day 4 – Vela Luka (Korkula Island) – Korkula
It is time to head back towards Korkula, situated in the north-east of the island. This ancient town, resting on an almost oval shaped island, is a must-see spot due to its exceptional architectural heritage. Discover the Saint Marc cathedral, the birth place of Marko Polo, the treasures of the abbey or the town museum. Stroll around the town and admire the beautiful views across the ocean...

Day 5 – Korkula – Pakleni Islands
You will be able to admire the Pakleni Islands from afar, which are to the south-west of the island of Hvar. They are made up of a number of smaller islets, the most popular being Sveti Klement which has a number of quiet coves where you can enjoy some water sports.

Day 6 – Pakleni Islands – Hvar – Uvala Lucice (Brac Island)
Towards the end of the morning your captain will lead you towards Hvar, the most charming and well known in all of the Adriatic. An elongated and mountainous island with many historic sites including the fortress, which is a must visit due to its former prison and archeological discoveries. You will also have the chance to enjoy its stunning view across the port. In the evening you will sail towards Lucice for a spot of diving in cave on the west coast of the bay. In the port the sea is a turquoise blue colour due to the sandy sea beds and also the nearby pine forest.

Day 7 – Uvala Lucice (Brac Island) – Trogir
Disembark in the morning. Today will be spent visiting the town of Trogir, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The historical centre is also a must see spot, including the north port where you can see the sculpture of the so-called 'protector' of the town. You should also visit the San Lovro cathedral (18th century) as well as the town hall with its patio dating from the 15th century. Before you leave you can also visit some of the markets and buy some traditional Croatian produce.

  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).

Provisioning and meals will be taken care of by your crew. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian etc…) make sure to let the base manager know.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
