Here is a non-exhaustive list of excursions and activities that can be proposed to you on site.

    Similan Islands

  • Visit of an elephant camp and rafting :
  • Transport: by motorboat and van
    Duration: about 7h30
    Minimum 20 participants - Maximum 44

Private motor boat and guide will pick you up at the boat cut-off to take you to Tap Lamu dock. From there an air-conditioned vehicle will take you in about 20 minutes to the Rafting Station base. Enjoy about 40 minutes of tranquility as you glide down the river in your raft while admiring the lush scenery passing before your eyes. These rafts are made of bamboo and entirely handcrafted. With a bit of luck you will be able to see long-tailed macaques, eagles or even snakes napping in the branches. Back at the Tap Lamu wharf you get back in your vehicle and drive towards Khao Lak Hill for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch you will head to the elephant camp where you can feed the elephants, bathe them, take beautiful pictures and learn more about these gentle giants.

    Langkawi
  • Langkawi island tour
  • Transportation: by air-conditioned bus
    Duration: about 7 hours
    Minimum 15 participants - Maximum 80 participants

This tour will take you to some of the most famous sites on the island and will allow you to discover the tales and legends that surround Langkawi. Through the rice fields and rubber plantations, you will travel to Makam Mahsuri, where the tomb of a famous princess is located. Legend has it that she was unjustly condemned to death for adultery and that she put a curse on the island that was to last for seven generations. On the way, you will be shown the rubber trees from which the latex is extracted.
You will then board typical boats to discover the mangrove swamp and understand its ecosystem with its rich fauna. Mangroves are a particular ecosystem of forests, located between land and sea. The trees plunge their roots directly into the salty sea water, and are therefore of special constitution to withstand a particularly high level of salinity. Until not so long ago, mangrove trees were cut down to make charcoal. However, over the past 15-20 years, local populations, aware of the ecological problem this represented, have decided to replant their mangroves, and they are now protected areas. You may be lucky enough to see brown eagles (which gave their name to this archipelago - Langkawi literally means brown eagle in Malay), or white-breasted fish eagles, mangrove crabs, iguanas and macaques.
After this visit, you will be taken to the restaurant for lunch.
Then you will board a cable car to fly over the rainforest, high trees and high waterfalls to reach Gungung Machinchang, 700 meters above sea level. From the platform, you will enjoy an excellent view of many of the 99 islands surrounding Langwaki and towards Thailand with Kos Butang and Koh Tarotaru.

    Phang Nga Bay
  • James Bond Island
  • Transport: by motorboat
    Duration: about 5 hours
Minimum 20 participants - No maximum

You'll leave the Star Clipper by motorboat and begin your journey across picturesque Phang Nga Bay, famous for its spectacular limestone peaks, to "James Bond Island", one of the locations chosen for scenes from the film The Man with the Golden Gun.
You will stop there for a few moments before heading to Koh Pannyi, one of the typical Muslim villages of this region. You will cross the mangrove path and you will have the opportunity to enter remarkable caves dug in the side of the rocks. The village of Koh Pannyi has an original characteristic: it is entirely built on stilts in a part of the bay where the water is shallow. You will visit the village and get a glimpse of the daily life of its inhabitants. In a restaurant, you will enjoy a snack of local specialties, then you will have the opportunity to continue your visit or do some shopping. Leaving Koh Pannyi, you will cross Phang Nga Bay again to reach the boat. Refreshments will be served on the boats during the tour (boats are equipped with toilets).

    Penang
  • Penang hill walk, colonial temple and museum
  • Transport: by air-conditioned bus
    Duration: about 7 hours
    Minimum 20 participants - Maximum 40 participants

Departure from the platform for a 30-minute ride to the Penang Hill funicular station. The ascent takes about 20 minutes and climbs to 720 metres to the top of Bukit Bendera, which opens up to a splendid panoramic view over Georgetown, the green mountains and the city below. Just a few minutes walk after the funicular exit, a 1.6km hiking trail begins in lush nature, winding under 3 of the oldest pavilions on the hill and through the park. Several themed gardens punctuate it: "Colour Garden", "Butterfly Bank", "Fragrant Garden", "Ginger and Palm Grove". Small signs that blend into the landscape along the way give you the names of plants and information about the flora, fauna and its history, without spoiling or interfering with your relaxation. The suspended walkway in the canopy, "Canopy Walk", is an extension of 230 meters long and offers multiple views of the forest and on a clear day over the Andaman Sea and Langkawi Island. The "Tree Top Walk", a circular walk above the trees, designed to support 120 people at a time, culminates at 800 meters above sea level and offers a 360° view of the island from which it is the highest panoramic viewpoint. Lunch will be taken before leaving the summit.
Finally, you will visit the Kek lok Si temple, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Pagoda, one of the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, and the Penang Colonial Museum which exhibits the opulent lifestyle of Penang's rich merchants, the Peranakan (Baba-Nyonya) and Penang society during the colonial era.
