Welcome on board the Galatea! This spacious gulet can accommodate up to 12 people on board with its 7 cabins, which each have a private bathroom. Everything is designed with comfort in mind and there is plenty of space to sunbathe, as well as easy access to the sea from the back of the boat.

    Situated on the lower deck at the back of the boat, the single cabins have a large bed measuring 2m x 1.4m and a private shower.

    Situated to the front of the middle deck, the master cabin has a large bed, 2m x 1.6m, a bathroom with shower and double vanity sink, and a seperate toilet with bidet and sink.

Itinerary of your cruise

Set sail around the islands of the Seychelles, which are considered some of the most beautiful in the world. During your cabin cruise you will discover some of the best diving spots in all of the Indian Ocean.

Day 1 - Mahé – Beau Vallon
Step aboard your boat, the Galatea, at 2pm and meet your captain and crew. Your skipper will sail to the north-eastern point of Mahé and the Coral Garden where you will enjoy your first diving session. Then it is time to admire the sunset over the Beau Vallon bay after a delicious dinner on board and listening to the waves lapping against the boat. There is also the option of a night time dive.

Day 2 - Beau Vallon – Marine Park
After breakfast with a stunning view over the famous Beau Vallon beach, you will head towards the 'Twin Barges' diving site. Once you have finished your dive you will next navigate to the Light House. In the evening you will head back to Ternay Bay Marine Bay" before enjoying dinner and the evening moored here. Again it is possible to take a night dive at a supplementary cost.

Day 3 - Marine Park – Anse Lazio
Today you sail towards the famous 'Sharks Bank' situated between Mahé and Silhouette. You will fall in love with the charm and stunning landscape of this island where the giant granite rocks meet with the turquoise waters. In the evening it is time to head back to Praslin, where you can step ashore and relax under the palm trees. Dinner and the evening spent here.

Day 4 - Anse Lazio – Curieuse Bay
You will begin the day with a first dive on the island of Bobby and the rest of the day you will spend visiting May Valley. This valley is classed as a UNESCO world heritage site. After visiting you can walk along the Côte d’Or Beach and then enjoy a BBQ on Curieuse island, and have dinner here too. It is also possible to dive in Pointe Rouge at an extra cost.

Day 5 - Curieuse Bay – Soeurs Islands
Day 5 and this morning you will navigate towards the island of Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur to discover the diving site at Sister Bank and Coco Island. During your diving trip you will swim in some of the most stunning underwater landscapes, and see reef sharks and fish of all species and colours. Dinner and the night moored at the Souers Islands. You have the option to take another dive at an extra cost.

Day 6 - Soeurs Islands – La Digue
A morning of navigation to reach the diving site "Ave Maria" situated off the coast of Praslin. Today is dedicated to visiting Digue Island, where time has stood still and the ancient traditions still persist such as travelling by cart. Relax and explore Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In the afternoon you have the chance to enjoy another diving session at Roches Channel. Dinner and the evening spent at Digue.

Day 7 - La Digue – Angel Fish Marina
Leave early in the morning and sail towards the island of Ronde for an afternoon of diving. Return to your boat and then your crew will bring you to the island of Mahé. On your way there you can stop and take a second diving session in Brissaire which is situated between Mahé and Praslin. Arrive in the afternoon at the St. Anne Marine National and relax on the beach or explore the landscape before heading to Angel Fish Jetty later in the afternoon. Dinner and night moored at Angel Fish Marina.

Disembark early in the morning.

Frequently asked questions

  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

    If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 25%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

    All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
    The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
    Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
    The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat?

    After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus can meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat at an extra cost.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

    To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
    The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
    The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding, either to the base or to GlobeSailor. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor or the base prior to departure.
  • What currency is used in the Seychelles?

    The local currency in the Seychelles is the Seychellois Rupee. In June 2015 1 € = 14.40 SCR and 10 SCR = 0.70 €.
    It is possible to pay in Euros or Dollars for accommodation, transport, some restaurants and tourist sites however of course the change will be given to you in rupees.
    Credit cards, Visa and Mastercard principally, are excepted in most places, as well as travelers cheques in larger businesses.
    You cannot leave the Seychelles with more than 2,000 Rupees in cash.
  • What documents are needed in order to travel to the Seychelles?

    You do not need a Visa for stays of up to 3 months in the Seychelles, however you should have a valid passport, be able to prove you have sufficient funds and present a return ticket.
