Discover the most beautiful islands between Sardinia and Corsica

Welcome to Sardinia, an island with heavenly colours. You will sail for 8 days on azure waters that will take you to the city of Bonifacio (Corsica). Aboard your catamaran, the crew will allow you to discover iconic islands (the Maddalena archipelago, the Lavezzi islands...) and diverse landscapes (isolated beaches, coves, caves...). Influenced by several civilisations (Roman, Phoenician...), the Sardinian cities and villages are full of beautiful architectural surprises. Your hostess will prepare flavoursome local specialties made with local produce.

Sardinia

Day 1 : Olbia
The crew will meet you at 5pm in the port of Olbia for boarding. On the boat, you will meet your fellow travelers and unpack your belongings in your cabin. You can enjoy some free time to visit Olbia or relax on its white sandy beaches. Dinner and overnight are spent at the dock.

Days 2 to 7 : Cruise
You sail towards the islands of Tavolara and Molara, located at the entrance of the Gulf of Olbia. These granite islands are home to colonies of seabirds (cormorants, gulls, shearwaters...). 565 meters above sea level, Tavolara will be visible from the distance on the deck of the boat. Molara is known for its natural pools with crystalline waters.

What would a cruise in Sardinia be without passing through the archipelago of La Maddalena? This little corner of paradise is composed of 7 islands and about 60 islets. Among these is the island of Caprera, which welcomed Giuseppe Garibaldi during his exile and whose house was transformed into a museum. Its the second largest island of the archipelago and is connected to the island of La Maddalena by a bridge.
Depending on the weather conditions, you may have the chance to see the pink beach of Budelli, the impressive lighthouse of Razzoli and the clear waters of Santa Maria.

Your cruise continues north towards the Lavezzi Islands. This archipelago, a protected nature reserve, will enchant you with its beautiful landscapes.
Lavezzu is the largest island in the archipelago and provides an abundance of activities: snorkeling in transparent waters, relaxing on hot sandy beaches or walking on one of the many trails of the island.
The charming Cavallo has hosted many a celebrity. Indeed, the island is now privately owned and entirely occupied by billionaires in luxury villas.

Sail towards Corsica and anchor in front of Bonifacio and its magnificent white limestone cliffs. It would be a shame to pass through without visiting this historic city! Its citadel is surrounded by an impressive wall dating back to the 12th century. You can walk through the citadel towards the Bastion of the Etendard. Discover the Romanesque Sainte-Marie Majeure church, Saint-Jean Baptiste chapel, the marine cemetery and the staircase of the King of Aragon, built in the 15th century.

The crew invites you to spend time in the shell-shaped bay of Rondinara. It is very popular with boaters due to its protection from winds and the swell. With its shallow waters, it is perfect for observing underwater wildlife.

Day 8 : Olbia
After breakfast, it will be time to pack your luggage to go to the airport or extend your holiday by a few days... Disembarkation is planned for 9 am.

Frequently asked questions

  • How can I arrange my transfer from the airport to the boat? What about provisioning?

After you have made your booking the base manager will contact you to give you more information on your cruise. Make sure you confirm what time you will be arriving and also your flight details. A taxi or minibus can meet you at the airport and bring you directly to the boat.
Provisioning and meals will be taken care of by your crew. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegan, vegetarian etc…) make sure to let the base manager know.
  • Is everyone on board English speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English speaking travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer a multilingual service.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
The balance should be paid no later than one month before boarding, either to the base or to GlobeSailor. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor or the base prior to departure.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 30%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
