Your boat is a traditional 32 meter schooner which will the calm waters of Komodo National Park. The design of this beautiful sailboat is by French interior designer Stephan Remini. The spaces have been designed to offer the greatest comfort to passengers both on deck and in cabins. The crew of 8 sailors and hostesses will be discreet and available to make your stay unforgettable. The sailboat is perfectly adapted to welcome families or groups so you can discover this incredible destination.

DAY 1 Labuan Bajo - Sebayur - Kalong
After your welcome cocktail, your crew will sail to the island of Sebayur where you will stop to take in the magnificent nature which surrounds you: including rays, turtles and colorful fish. Before sunset you will head to Kalong Island where you will have the privelege of witnessing an incredible phenomenon: the flight of bats to the island of Flores.

DAY 2: Sebayur Keci - Sebayur Besar
After a good breakfast, you will head to Sebayur to anchor in a protected cove. The seabed and wildlife are extraordinarily diverse. A day will probably not be enough to discover everything about this wonderful place. Dinner and last night on board.

DAY 3: Komodo - Pink Beach
It's impossible to visit the Park without going to meet the Komodo dragons. 1,800 of these astonishing specimens live on the island and a trek with the rangers of Komodo National Park will stay in your memory forever. You will head to the sublime sands of Pink Beach, a beach of pink corals where the crystal clear water is the perfect opporunity to snorkel and discover life below the waves. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 4: Pink Beach - Manta Point - Siaba
Gourmet breakfast before heading to Manta Point, one of the highlights of the day with a once-in-a-lifetime swim in the company of Manta rays, a harmless but gigantic fish. You will spend the night on the island of Siaba and its secluded cove.

DAY 5: Siaba - Gili Lawa Darat
Once your breakfast is served, your captain will take you to Gili Lawa Darat, a spot where two bays face each other. In the first you will find turtles and an exceptional marine fauna, and the second one looks like a lake where the dolphins come to play around the boat and where, at night you will be met with a spectacular sky of stars. Dinner and a night on board.

DAY 6: Gili Lawa Darat - Crystal Rock - Gili Lawa Laut
Crystal Rock and Gili Lawa Laut will be your next destinations. Here you will encounter every colour, shape and size of fish. The fabulous Crystal Rock site owes its name to the extreme clarity of the water. You will find an impressive array of soft corals and beautiful fish of all kinds which cover the sea floor. Gili Lawa Laut is a real lake in the sea, where you can try a variety of natuical activities. A beautiful walk will take you to the top of the island where you will be sheltered from the winds. You will spend the night in the creek.

DAY 7: Gili Lawa Lawa - Labuan Bajo
Breakfast and return to the port of Labuan Bajo.

  • What documents are needed to travel to Komodo?

    Tourists can get a free visa in advance or purchase a visa upon arrival for stays of up to 30 days. This can depend on your passport, so check in advance, and your passport must be valid for 6 months after your day of arrival.
  • What are the recommended vaccines to go to Komodo?

    For a trip to Komodo, we advise you to check if you are up to date with your universal vaccines (DTCP, hepatitis B), hepatitis A.

    Other vaccines are to be performed as:
    - typhoid fever ;
    - essential antimalarial treatment for all of Indonesia (especially in Lombok), except the big cities and Bali;
    - for any stay in a rural area (especially rice fields), Japanese encephalitis.

  • What is the currency in Komodo?

    The currency in Komodo is the Indonesian Rupiah.
    We change all currencies in all tourist places. No need to go to the bank unless special operation. In money changers, the exchange rate is always displayed on a sign outside. Compare them well, because we sometimes see deviations of more than 10%.
  • What is the time difference in the Komodo islands?

    The time difference between the UK (GMT) is +7 hours in summer and +8 hours in winter.
  • How do we organise meals on board the boat?

    Most of our cabin cruises include full board and the services of a hostess - cook. Alcoholic drinks are sometimes extra. Check the terms and conditions of your quote. Your adviser will be able to send you the menus proposed on board. They are often prepared with fresh and local products. Please inform us as soon as possible if you have any specific dietary requirements!
  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

    If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 25%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking. We recommend that you sign up for cancellation insurance with your personal insurance provider.
  • What does a skipper do? And what about a hostess?

    All the skippers which we offer are qualified, have the necessary professional licenses and speak fluent English. If you have any particular demands regarding a skipper make sure to let us know.
    The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to try out some of the manoeuvres with him; he will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing.
    Regarding sleeping arrangements, the skipper will sleep on board, either in a cabin or in the common area (saloon).
    The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing up. A hostess (or cook) will prepare your meals, clean the saloon area and the cabins and make sure the boat is kept tidy.
  • What payments must I make in order to confirm my booking?

    To confirm your booking you should inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will put an option (hold) on the cabin for a certain time until we receive your down payment.
    The booking will only be considered final once we have received your down payment (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card) which is 50% of the total amount. A 100% down payment is required for any booking made less than one month before departure.
    The balance should be paid to GlobeSailor no later than one month before boarding. Mandatory extras and options will be payable locally. Be sure to check with your advisor prior to departure.
